Subject: Which news site about UK do you read?
- 1
Hi. Currently, I'm getting interested in events which are happening in the UK. Events from all fields of life: social, political, business, etc. Which source (web site or news blog) do you read yourself to keep your fingers on the pulse? Thanks in advance.
Hey Sevvol!!!you're here too!!why are you interested to which are happening in UK??You're just only interested or you need some informations for your work?

My interest isn't related to my current job. I used to know English quite well when I was at school and now I decide to intensify my skills of the language. Reading news is the only thing I can do during my working hours. All other activities like grammar, listening, increasing wordpower, etc will be done at home.
Why BBC is called beeb? I've never heard this before.
It was called Auntie when it first started in an "Auntie knows best" way. That was its first nickname when it was mainly radio. In the late 70's DJ and master comic Kenny Everett started calling it the Beeb as a short version of pronouncing B B C. The two nicknames are sometimes used together by people like me who are both retro and rad confluently!
