Come on, we all know i'm not important!!
2007-11-02 21:11:35
the answer then is to become a MOD, and then start a "why should i stay" thread.

LOL. It is sadly true though, people are not so friendly over there, over here as soon as Hostaal said he was leaving lots of people tried to stop him.....that just would not happen over there.

Or get to the prem and then do it.
2007-11-03 13:18:16
Go on then. Oh, you meant hattrick.
2007-11-03 13:59:22
Sadly 1 league away from the prem in HT.

You'd probably still find some way of throwing away the league if I wasn't here though :P.

@All not Gibbage.

I think you all need to get over yourselves. If Sokker was a better game, it would have more users than it has simple as that. Fundementally it may well be a better game, however it falls desperately short in some real bread and butter areas, and personally i've seen very little indication that's going to change.

The forums are generally a nicer place to be than Hattrick, however very few people in comparison frequent these forums, and idiots tend not to be fed the idiot food in text form they require. Because of the sheer numbers in HT the forums the idiot count is bound to be higher, and they feed off of each other for sure. I've found pretty much all the feds i picked in HT (when i had supporter) to be superb places to be a part of, with great folks.

I've got to be honest with you all, i think to say that people are too stupid to see the advantages to sokker compared to HT is absolutely outrageous. The user retention rate of this game is utterly appalling, and i think there are other reasons for that than the intelligence levels of most HT users.

Sokker has missed the boat imo, had it ironed out the obvious issues it has then ages ago it wouldn't have the problem of crap user numbers, and would be taking users from HT at a fair old rate. Now however with the changes HT are making, people will say Sokker? Why bother? It's just a clunkier version of HT.

If you're looking for someone to blame for this being the case, look to the decision makers who decide where this game goes, as it is their inability to act that has created the situation where a half decent game with bags of potential, is completely wasted with not enough users. When you consider how much money HT must rake in as well, i really can't understand what they're playing at with this game.

Knackers, i've been outed!!! I'd have gotten away with it too if it weren't for those pesky kids.

Damn you for dare criticising SK. BAN HIM:)

Seriously though you are right, this game has a fundamental problem with keeping people in the game, for long enough for them to realise what it is.

I think an automated message at the beginning(if they get accepted that is), actually linking you to a start-up guide would be a decent first step, most games have this as your welcome message, along with the forums, and hopefully the newbie forums will help to keep users on.

SK customer care doesn't seem to exist aswell, and many flaws have to be ironed out by users own scripts, but for me th game is much better than those around, if we can keep people long enough for them to find out the better aspects of the game.

Also I think another problem is the similarity to HT, and overhaul of the skill level names, and of the word playmaking would help, as too many people come in and train PM, they then don't sell their players for the full training value put into them, and even then established teams can quit.

The best thing is though atm, is there seems to be a new set of active forums posters, a 2nd generation if you like!

This game is great once you get over the first few weeks of sorting coaches, and stamina training.

It is very confusig if you do not get advice, but having said that, the same can be said of HT, as thats confusing when you first start.

The process of help from mentors on here was far better than in HT imo.

As for Ht right now all I seem to get is errors on the Youth Academy which for me has been a total blow out.

I think the root of the problem is the attitude of Linux based programmers compared to Windows based ones.

Linux programmers have an air of superiority and are usually in a darkened room tweaking a bit of code.

Windows programmers are playing table tennis while letting the tool take the strain.

hattrick isn't growing. England's been at around 11k for yonkers.
