I wanted him to combat the strikers who I thought maybe would have had decent tech. I think a protest should start in Borkos' GB for telling his player to score an own goal though!

4-2 it ended though, which is a good result. 2nd half not as interesting as the first. Quite irritating to see the strikers fumble the ball, but could have been a couple more for both sides as there were good chances. A slightly more offensive version of that tactic could be good for getting high scoring games against the weaker sides in Group F. Certainly a deserved victory.

Another version is that Mitch was jealous about Briganti who scored a goal for Italy today.

Or wanted to make up for that weak Belgie striker who scored no goals :P

Congratulations on a nice match. :) USA has some nice young players.

I expected the width, but didn't feel I could take everything away. So I left the wingers fairly open and dared them to beat us, which they did. Some fantastic crosses. :)

Canada's throw-ins were very poor. USA took away the line, and that was all I attempted. Usually I'm smart enough to mix in more square throws.

USA defenders did a better job taking chances then the Canada strikers. :) Poor day finishing for the Canadian duo.

Bah. Borkos is far too virtuous for that. Especially given the meager means at my disposal.

I bet all you need is a beer, and Borkos will do almost anything ;)

I think the tactic could of been better. The outcome was good.
