The tactic I'm using today is either going to be genius or a disaster - something I'm seeing if it works whilst there is nothing to play for and partly incorporating into the tactic the recent ME changes.

Seem to be seeing them a lot since I've been the US manager. At least it wasn't Mitch Valentine this time ;).

their forwards were just running through our defence in the second half....
2nd half performance was dire, seemed to all go to pot once stamina affected Galloway and Wescott, who were a class act in the first half at stopping their wingers. As they ran more than any other player, it really did show up relatively early, not sure why it also affected the three in the middle though.
I think Mexico have to feel hard done by not to have got a goal in the 2nd, but there should have been a much bigger lead as a result of that very strong first half performance.
Quite pleased with how well setting essentially def players as mid worked though. Did some nice running passes which I was hoping for. Whittaker looked good in the middle of the park too.

galloway didnt see too much action in the game....wescott was the one that had to work a lot....
You could visibly see them getting tired though as they struggled to be where their wingers were.
Looking at the lineup, it is more pleasing to win that considering other than their GK their team was entirely made up of 21yos.

Problem is, as a rule of thumb I never use more than 2 subs because of injury risk, and it was better to move the players I did.
