Undeservedly a goal down as the players couldn't deal with Van Den Eede early on. Been the better side though, putting them under pressure at half time.

2-1 loss. There were some good opportunities which didn't seem to be taken and they only got their goals as a result of player error (low tech on the defs) or Van Den Eede just barging through. Closest they have been taken this season. Messed up one of the boxes on the tactic though (had player movements I didn't want) although that was only in a throw in position.

I think it was a pretty good tactic for the most part. I'll watch the match again later and give you some thoughts. I think the easiest thing to spot in this match is that our mids and forwards don't have enough technique to compete with the top teams.

I think our tactic for forwards was too narrow for that kind of opponent.

I don't see them dribbling defenders, whereas Van Eide went right through 2 or 3 of our guys a couple of times.

It was the mids who looked worse though, losing the ball to Nederland's over and over again.

i think that nederlands def are better than the americans, aslo van eide is way better than madsen and patterson...

That's the big problem in midfield - there just isn't an immense amount of technique available, and if the players do have tech they then don't have the other skills. Quite hard to get a balancing act and can get heavily punished for being tackled.

How can he be way better if your guy is 'almost divine'?

almost divine isnt divine :P, besides we were talking about technique, he has better pace and striker...beside i dont like ur critics maybe u should start training some usa strikers, if u think that u can do better...

I don't care if you like it or not, the fact is our strikers never seem to dribble any defenders, especially those of the top teams. Perhaps our striker trainers place too much emphasis on striking and not enough on technique? Or sell them off before they're fully trained. This problem should be solved by Lakay's training program.

At any rate, Madsen and Patterson are both young enough to get where they need to be!

I think you mean kenney (high tecnique) and Greer (better overall than Kenney but low Tecnique)
