Some of you college people need to find some drunk friends to get involved.

Why don't we have a poll and ask why some people are leaving and what improvements we can make to fix the issues.
2009-06-19 23:35:00
how do you plan on asking them heh
2009-06-19 23:39:57
give them a questionnaire when they join and ask anyone who wants to participate.
2009-06-19 23:41:56
when they join ask about why they would want to quit?
2009-06-19 23:44:20
what changes or improvements would you like see in sokker so we can make our game more exciting and less boring.

The admins have the email that they signed up with. They should sent an "exit interview" to users who have had their teams purged.
2009-06-19 23:56:44
to whom ever wants to participate something has to be done.

this game is too slow paced for most americans.

plus because we havent been growing, any people who didnt get discouraged playing bots in c league promote to b and get to face guys who have been playing for over 5 seasons and get dominated, the gap has already grown terminally too wide

and we still insist on putting new managers straight into B the past 10 teams

with lack of action, the only way to stay interested is to have real life friends to talk about the game with, or get into talking in the forum or with a mentor. thats the main reason i mentor people, just an attempt to keep their interest in the game

Lets find out why people join and what do they expect to see and yes perhaps more Americans should learn the game in these socialized forums and be patient with the results but i guess most people new to the game want to see results right away. I though c league was to cause new users to be encouraged with wins vs. bot teams and mentors make sure that they understand the games and making it interesting showing them tactics like DIO did when i first started.

this time next year though, we might see an increase of users =D Well I hope at least with the World Cup being next summer

well, lets try to combine a few ideas.
one idea was to poll people as they join. another was that mentoring was good and kept people involved.
SYNTHESIS- as people join the USA could we AUTOMATICALLY assign them a mentor?
or could we start contacting the new teams and offer to mentor them?
when I first joined I was totally lost, then -Billy-, fromastaflex, and some others offered advice.
I would commit to it.

I think you are facing a losing battle, Football is our No.1 sport yet we have low user numbers compared to other countries. I know we have less population, but other games I can mention that are not anywhere near as good as Sokker are played more. It must be something that puts users off at the beginning, maybe its too hard and daunting at the start?
