Subject: [nt] World Cup Thread

2008-03-09 05:25:20
couldn't agree more.

I mean hell even I know how to manage cards.
2008-03-09 05:29:47
i thought the gib wouldve known how to use conditional orders, but i guess not

[lol]

that gave me a chuckle, i would never waste my time or cond order space by setting such ridiculous orders.

----------------------------------------------------------

Fromo didn't reach the u21 world cup final becasue he didn't set the slight injury sub for Bogan (but in this case he really was unlucky....IMHO)

how many times have you seen WB's get red carded? How many times have you seen a dominant winger exploit it because of good passing, and the central defenders are in a lot?

Absolutely unnecessary, i have better things to do with my limited slots, if you dont then i would consider you the noob.

I completely agree with the yanks side. You always have to use orders for your defenders. Leaving one position unfilled in defense is more dangerous, than one in midfield.

.....and I also always use them.
2008-03-09 15:32:07
even i always use those orders for my defenders. way to dangerous to leave an open spot there.

it sucks if you get 2 red cards in defense, then you're screwed :D

thank you vilpu

maybe you havent seen it much due to the quality of new zealand's top league ;) itl definitely happen at NT level, or against any quality side that spreads the ball high and wide, which is most of them. im just curious about what, if not this, you do use ur orders for, unless your A team simply lacks stamina

im done polluting this thread when the choice is obvious.. is this forum even under your jurisdiction?
2008-03-09 19:05:27
agreed also...

those are the only 4 conditional orders i use actually :PP
2008-03-09 19:54:07
You can call us noobs if you want, but we wouldn't be the idiots without a defender in a non-friendly match.
2008-03-09 20:15:40
Please enlighten us, name 5 conditions more important. I don't think you will actually come up with any, but go ahead and show us how noob we are.
2008-03-09 20:28:02
I don't think it is a mistake I will be making again.

However, had that been a red card whilst the result was in the wrong direction, imo you need to keep everyone you have as forward as possible so run the risk and lose the def, as to get more chances up front.
2008-03-10 07:16:15
Why would it matter if it is under my jurisdiction? I can roam anywhere i want, as can you.

Because it happens so often in NT level, i would like to see 5 examples, if you may?

If you do decide to do so, i wish you good luck.

great comeback.. i didnt say it happens all the time (obviously any position has almost an equal chance to get red carded at any time), but when it does the hole in the back line will leave a team more vulnerable, and this is preventable. did you read other peoples opinions in this thread? everyone else here has already agreed youre wrong, so please quit while youre ahead and stop spamming our NT forum mr forum moderator guy, ur last comment was just petty

mods can talk in any thread, btw, if he's not abusing his position (which he clearly isn't) please don't ask anyone not to participate in a discussion :(

Anyway, i don't think that many people have followed huge numbers of nt matches.

However, i know it's happened to me. I know i find it important enough so that on critical matches (ie quali or cup finals) i bother with the orders.

That means it should have been there.

Anyway, the whole "other orders are more important" only applies if he had the full set of orders used. If that's the case we can argue that point back and forth happily till we all forget about this match :)

I think mr_g already said it was a mistake, which is good enuf for me.

agreed. This is just the second time an NT coach for us had to learn about this - on the fly. Unless Gibber actually knew how to do this and simply choice not to.

Not good either way but its over now.

"This is just the second time an NT coach..."

Why did you have to bring this up again? let's focus on Mr. G forget about the past :)
