I've got a theory that general training is not uniformly applied, but is based upon the use in game. So if you're training a skill on MID, non-training strikers will get more general training in striker than in defense, generally. What do you think?

i actually kinda agree...because i've noticed that there arent too many general keeper pops, in players that are playing in non-gk position...

Not one of my outfielders has ever popped in keeper skill. So I think the system is set up that way. But which outfield position they play doesn't seem to affect the outfield skills they receive general training for.

I've never trained playmaking or striking, and over their careers my defenders have had the same amount of general pops in both skills. Haven't had any of my strikers as long but one has popped once in each of those skills as well.

And my keeper has had 5 pops in passing, playmaking, and striking, with 6 pops in defending and technique. So keepers get general training in everything.

yeah my keeper popped to poor striking a couple weeks ago.

because if you go far enough down in a cup shootout, the goalies will shoot. I've seen it.
