Lakay [del] to All
Now that I'm using the red card subs (after my avoidable loss against Fro) I realize that we could use more conditional orders.

I'm not asking to change the current one or to change formation based on orders (which would be great). Just asking for more of them for now.

I need to learn how to do that red card thing. I've never done it before.

this has been suggested once or twice before :)

Welcome to the bandwagon. I've been driving this bus for quite some time ;)

I got it set up to bring my DM to defense if a defender get red-carded and then sub my backup defender for the DM.

Has anybody ever tried a half time position switch on players already on the field (no substitution)?

I don't think your setup will work. If a player gets red-carded you have to play shorthanded. You can't move you DIM to defense and then sub in a new player.

yes......

correct, I just sub your def mid for the red carded defender.

you mean switch positions for no reason other then to just switch them?

Hmm. never thought of a reason to try it, but I will in the friendly this week. I'm curious to know, although not sure it'll ever apply.

I've switched positions. You can see examples in some of my cup matches from earlier in the season. I would switch strikers around due to stamina concerns (and also because I play two up front, and the withdrawn striker doesn't get many chances).

if my game this Sunday wasn't so darn important....I might would try doing the striker switch myself.

i did it first =D game changed in late december and i successfully did it in january in one of our NT friendlies- 1/20/07 against danmark. this same game i also figured out switching players, i switched our wingers to different sides. told u our team was in good hands

i made an effort to not tell anyone how, and when it was brought up to tell whoever else knew the secret to shut up and keep it to ourselves haha, but after 1.5 years people are starting to catch on thanks to lakay here.. blow this thread up guac

ahh so that does work. good to know, thanks for sharing.

I have yet to find a use for it, however, there's always a first time.

MacLagan was unintentionally switched in the recent Scotland Columbia game.

I had Buchanan due to come on as a sub in a straight switch with Paddy but due to an injury Buchanan came on earlier than scheduled in a defensive mid role for the injured mid, at the original time scheduled for the planned substitution Buchanan and MacLagan switched positions.

Thought Paddy done well actually in a defensive role :)

LOL, thats fortunate considering his defense level isn't a liability, but nothing special either.

Training defense after I finish tech next season though :)
Next season I'll be moving him to offensive mid when I sell Self.
