Subject: C Leagues

I think it would be great if the number of C leagues was cut in half. This way every C league would roughly have twice more real users rather than bots. In this case first two places from every team would have a chance to play in the qualification game (the best 16 first places would still advanced automatically).

This way playing in the C league would be much more fun and some of us would avoid playing only two interesting games every season. It happens a lot than only two teams are competing to win it. The other games are just a formality and hence boring. Also one cannot really work on their tactics since winning 10:0 against bots is not really helpful.

Also if you happen to get a team in a C league where there is already a team which dropped from the B league the chances you will advance soon are quite low. The other team has a huge financial and tactical advantage by spending a season or more in the B league. Now even if this team goes to the B league another B league team will drop to your C league.

To summarize: It would be much more entertaining and motivating to have twice less C leagues with less bots and more human users and two teams having a chance to qualify.

By the way, I am already in the B league:)

This is not a problem that we have a lot of C league groups but with US users. We have them less then, for example, leagues from Europe. Just go and check how to hard is to get to the 4th lvl in Polish League - our C-lvl (jestes Polakiem wiec zapewne wiesz jak jest ciezko).

Also problem is with that good teams but "dead", which had before managers, do not stay as bots but are changed to new, managed teams. Those new have an easy way to get to the B league level where they are owned 3-78 :\

did that make sense, i mean it sort of made sense but didnt really have anything useful input

@krepa- i agree, it used to be 32 a while ago, but when we had closer to 350 users in the states and expected to increase rather than decrease in numbers it expanded. it would probably be a pain for the makers to switch back now

if they will ever fix the layout of this site so it can attract US users, maybe we can fill that C league up.

I honestly don't see how we can only have 300 users here compared to 6-7k in hattrick.

it's not only about how difficult it is to advance but how little fun it is to play the bots only and the only other user twice every season.

with more user teams in the same league and two teams advancing it should still not be that easy (wydaje mi sie ze podobny system do zaproponowanego przeze mnie dziala w najnizszej polskiej lidze)

but we do not have many users now and why not make it better for those that are already here?

i do not think it is that problematic

if suddenly we get more teams it could be adjusted again

i think a similar solution to the one i mentioned is implemented in the lowest polish league where there are 17k users

If you worry about too few players, then notice that people are leaving because c-leagues are so boring. This was my rookie season and I came very close to winning my league but didn't, so I'm staying in the C-league. And what do I have to look forward to? About three months of meaningless games against bots that I know I am going to win? I have only four games against human opponents in the entire season. That's BOOORING. This season I kept myself entertained selling off the original team, buying new players, just figuring out the game. Next season will be just waiting for the precious few games against humans and for my juniors to start coming out of YS. As much as I like the game I am not sure if I want to bother wasting 3 months on this. Reducing the number of C-leagues will make it much more fun. I don't mind finishing 3rd or 4th and not promoting if it is after a good fight with 6-7 opponents.

Once more. I believe too many sparsely populated C-leagues IS one of the reasons why people stop playing this game.

Then maybe admins can put more people to the one group instead splitting them between couple others? Then they can fill out group by group with managed teams.

This is not about the layout. People are leaving because in C-leagues the only thing you do is wait.

Krepa is right. Worry about the people that are here first and about attracting new players second.

That may be a solution. Keep half of the c-leagues populated with bots only and don't include them in the promotion process. Give the 1st and 2nd team from the 'active' C-leagues a shot at promotion. Just don't blame everything on the lack of players if you're driving them away by making their first seasons boring.

it's a good idea, I think really they should find a way to cut back to 32 leagues again. I felt from day 1 they switched it was insane and premature. I'd have been glad to be wrong but I wasn't.

They should implement a league stocking policy where at least 4 to 6 teams in a C league have to be human controlled, that way people can learn the game and strategy and have something to keep them occupied.No competition = no fun.It would be easy enough to do and it could be done at the start of the next season.

I think that Krepa pointed out a very serious problem. I completely agree with the fact that
something should be done to change the given situation, playing with bots all the season is completely meaningless.

How can we write all together to admin to ask for a change starting next season?

I agree with all the proposals I have read on this forum till now.
