Subject: C Leagues
i was referring to the long post that apacan wrote to ivysafety
Where did u see that I mentioned that I have a great talent? Do you people read at all what someone says or you just comment just to say something? I said that 90% of players generated into academy are worthless. Also I said that I have 2 players that are formidable (11) on the way out. I got a few talented players, from academy or purchase and they are doing fine. For ex. one of them from academy scored 19 goals in 12 games. My goalie is 18 and is worth 365k, he has Goalkeeping rating 11 and passing 8. Another one whom I bought has developed and has Stamina and Speed 11, Technique and Creativity 7 and Attacking and Defense 6.
On that note I do not have Sokker Plus so I don't have it's features. I do have one question, will GK's Goalkeeping rating ever increase without training it, just from playing?

Hi I have been in C LEAGUE for 2 seasons now and yes it get boring playing bot teams all the time, however to counter that i play in a friendly league where there is challenging competition and yes i got beat real bad and learned how different tactics are used. So when i do get promoted i will be well prepared.
No. what I am saying is with strengthened bot teams, play will be more difficult and challenging. shortening the leagues is a limited, and I think shortsighted, solution in that as users expand, we still leave leagues with few, or one, actual manager. shortening the leagues is looking for immediate benefit, which will cause more problems requiring more adjustments later.
as I see it, strengthening the bot teams would make play more difficult, which is the chief underlying point of your idea. And, there are ways to strengthen bot teams and improve play...randomize the tactics used (causing managed teams to plan and strategize more), automatically populate players so there are no walk overs, etc...without a shortening the leagues, which as I said is only a limited solution. that's what I am saying should be considered.

...develop into the world class player
I don't see how any C league manager EXPECTS to be able to develop a "world class player." I in no way think that a C league manager will ever be able to fully train a world class player, much less a national team player.
...that have quite a better stats than those you mentioned
I would expect you to have better players than I do, you have been in the game for a full 6 or 7 months than I have.
You can' get a team here and win 3 promotions in 3 years, you need like 7 seasons for 3 promotions.
thats the whole point. This game is intended to be a LONG TERM game. What would be the point in playing if you could get to A in 3 seasons?

I do not expect that, but my point is that you can't have a player whose talent could lead him one day to becoming a national team player, if let's say that player is trained by A league team. This is not realistic at all, although this whole game is totally is not about realism.
I don't know if you are American and how much you actually know about soccer. I'm not, I'm just studying here. Many world class players started and played for a few years in a small league teams, before moving to big clubs. Here that is not gonna happen. You can't buy a hidden gems, as really non of the players are hidden. It really makes the whole game much less interesting. If you played Football Manager, or previously Championship Manager, one of the biggest thrills for all players is to find young players that are not well known, buy them for relatively low price and develop them into stars.
In general the whole game would be much more fun if the engine was different and players had around 15 skill categories.

BTW I won my last round game against other user and finished with 12 2 0 score and 57-4 goal difference.
sounds like you should be playing a different game.
godsoccer has 12 skills....
Sokker is pretty great the way it is.

You can find hidden gems and turn them into world class talent. It just takes a while.
You will not, of course, be able to find a "hidden gem" that will be a world class player without spending 4-6 seasons training him. But you can definitely buy a player for $10k - $30k, and sell them 4 seasons later for over $2 million.
This player:
good stamina, hopeless keeper
incredible pace, adequate defender
brilliant technique, adequate playmaker
adequate passing, formidable striker
I bought 5 seasons ago with like this:
good stamina, hopeless keeper
excellent pace, weak defender
excellent technique, weak playmaker
weak passing, poor striker
While he's not a "world class" player, meaning a national team player, he's extremely good.

wait so no one can come up with a good reason why they think 32 makes it tougher right? (barndog, what you said would be like saying all 4 A league 1st places promote haha)
well... the only thing that makes a manager better is to play against other managers and measure their forces against eachother. I think what's happening with the A teams is that we are trying to stay alive in the league and that competition is making everybody become better managers for example: issues such us economics, traning, subs, trading players, measuring talent etc.. So it would be great for the C managers to have to fight against eachother to stay alive in their leagues or at least in the top spots. that kind of competition will only make them better. Moreover, I support the idea of 5-6 teams on every league. The managers on the top leagues knows that we learn more from playing the best team in our league than playing a C or a B team in the cup. I think that a new player will soon adapt to the dificulties of his/her league.
