I'm #1 seed and I have to play a human controlled team :(

Looks like I won't be in the running for the coveted Most Goals Scored in Round 1 award.

I drew a bot with unsatisfactory defense. I hope I get a striker before the cup game.

Paradise (by the Dashboard light) - bot, good name, will have new striker by then. And Jarhead is playing to hit magical pace.

What is wrong with this picture? I'm supposed to get the crappiest bot in the world. But no!!! I have to face a human.

My understanding is it doesn't work that way.
Basically you have the top half of teams, and bottom half of teams each round. From there, its random.

Being the best team in Sokker USA only guarantees you, if I understand it correctly, one of the worst 50% of teams.

personally, I'd bitch more about the lack of home games for the better team. for one, home field advantage means jack squat, and secondly, ticket gate is split anyway, so its in smaller teams/stadiums best interests to have the match at the larger stadium.

It's flawed logic on the game's/greg's/whoever's part and it would be a welcome change if it actually got fixed.

In honor of my bot opponent, I've created a new tactic for keeping the pressure in the opposing half. I've always liked using my defenders to support the offense, next week we'll see what I can do with only one defender "staying home."

Well I was knocked out early last season. But I did go out early 2 seasons in a row between my championships. So I think it is 50/50 this season. I'm definetly going to try and win.
