there was a while ago a discussion about the differences between wingers and inner midfielders (which would be a better skill distribution for these two positions) but I just don't find that topic... Any ideas?
Thanks.

an inner midfielder needs more defense than a winger and a winger should have more pace than a inner mid...

but it's all a matter of taste :)

innermid should have more playmaking since they are challenged more often in the middle in my opinion

yep :) forgot about that one :)

And a little more technique wouldn't hurt, for the same reason.

technique wouldn't be that important if the pm is high enough though :)

eh, technique usefulness is equal inside and outside, as technique affects dribble speed.

this is very true. my best midfielder has crap tech, and for a couple seasons guac told me to never use him at OMC/AMC. One day I did he had 2 assists, and was only stripped once. He had high PM, it balanced out.

depends on your opponent's positioning, eh?

Good PM = good decision making = quick passing = doesn't need to dribble as much.

exactly how that worked out, he's been just as good at A level as B. I'll miss him though, my last original team player. Getting sold later this week.
