Subject: Team USA vs. Sverige

Back to group play this week and we're ready. A couple guys out to injury, cards, or form, but it won't matter. Our depth has gotten better as the season has went along and we're pretty well loaded all around now. It's very nice to see guys who are 24 or 25 and still receiving training.

I was out-coached this week as Sverige went with basically an 8 man defense, and prayed for a lucky offensive chance. They controlled our wingers very well and did a nice job of limiting our shot attempts, although I'm amazed we didn't get at least one penalty kick out of all that action in the box. They got their lucky break in the form of a free kick just outside our penalty box.

I'll make some changes to the tactic so it'll be harder to shut down our wing-play in the future.

In other Group A action, Nederland wins again while Rossiya defeats República Dominicana to further separate the top 3 from the bottom 3.
