Subject: Changes at Accepting Teams Process
solution. once a calender year clean house of all bots. have extended autopromotion. instead of instead of 16 autopromotes and letting the rest play in... add an auto promote for every B bot, starting with the most qualified, like now... and just continue down the list for play in by going to the teams that aren't winning but have the best points and GD like now... there are a lot of C teams who don't promote because they can't beat one team... this gives them one chance a calender year to promote and would make it more interesting for EVERYONE... the same thing can be done at all levels...
so when we find out fromo is a bot we can auto promote an extra team to "his" spot...
and the money is WAY different in b leagues... i didn't do well my first season[last] in B league and was still doing better than my best times in C league....

There is another aspect. When you will get a new team in your group then difficulty level will decrease and with this sponsors money. Thats really sucks....
If that's the reason (they replaced a good team with a newbie in my group) I was given less sponsor money today that really sucks. What did I do wrong - 14 wins in a row?
Veteran managers are taken advantage of at the expense of "maybe we attract somebody for an extra month" approach.
This system is going to be a disaster in a long run.
I confirm what ivysafety39 said. I was never given less money in higher leagues even on a losing streak than winning all the games in lower divisions.

Do newbies in B-leagues take over existing bot teams, with their current players, or do they get brand new teams, with newly generated sets of players?

they get new players which is why the team isn't good and i drop from sponsorship funding of 125k to 110k... ugh...
In that case I completely miss the logic of this decision. You put a totally inexperienced player with brand new (i.e. crappy) players in league B, where they will get hammered, and claim they'll enjoy it and will be more likely to stay in the game. At the same time you aggravate players like myself who are trying to get to B only to see someone placed ahead of them at a whim of an administrator. Someone explain to me, please, how this is supposed to be fair to the current players and improve retention.

i'm guessing that a)this is a move to increase retention of NEW players. b) the devs figure existing players will stick around pretty much anyway. c) they aren't to worried about b leaguers quitting. d) this is a move they held off on for a while, and are really shifting their focus to retaining NEW players...
the really dumb part is that, in theory, any new team placed in B will relegate really quickly, but since they are being placed into the place of GOOD bot teams, joing at the end of the season will give them a good record and therefore garaunteeing them at least another season of mediocre b team income... which is much better than the c league and giving them a chance to improve faster and stay out of relegation....
check out my league. we lost a team that had just relegated from A league and was cleaning up to a new team...

I'm only replying because if I don't you guys will beleive your own misinformation.
1) A newbie in B-League will never be better off than an existing C-league team. Even at worst case, a team that started last week in C vs a team that started this week in B. The new team in B will get hammered andsponsor money will go down while the new team in C will win and sponsor money will increase. The C team will be gaining supporters and the B team will be losing supporter.
2) In a couple seasons, B-league will be filled with human teams. This solution should have been done sooner because if you only have 4 human teams in B-League, expending C-League was not the right choice. This is the right move and it will pay off soon.
3) There's nothing wrong with some of what you guys proposed (forced relegation for bots) but this solution will work also in time.
Good luck to you all.

well i am gonna put my 2 cents in on this. as a "C" league team tring to work my bottom off to make it to the "B" league i think this stinks. this is my 2nd season in C and i am sitting in 2nd place in my group and i have only given up 6 goals so far. i will be in C again next season because i tried a new formation the first 2 games of this season. i dont blame no one but myself for that!! but i have learned a lot in the C and would love to get to play more real players as well. but i am having to work my way up to B league and so should everyone else. now if your gonna kick all bots out of B and move all C teams up to B in the off season that would be fine with me! but if not this plan really stinks!!!
I was going to ask who's your mentor, it's me lol.
The mistakes you made when you started are made and will continue to be made by most newbies. You have a better handle on the game in several aspects now, better tactics, better trainees, better understanding of player skills etc... You are better off than that newbie who will get crushed in B-league.
When you promote to B-League you'll be on the top half of the table in your first season.
Good luck

I don't know why I am replying since the admins are not listening anyway...
1. I don't care if the new teams in B are better or worse off. The point is I have to work my rear end off to get to B and some newbies zoom right by just because the admin likes their new nick. That is fundamentally unfair, creates unequal start for new players and just plain stinks.
2. You worry only about filling B leagues with human teams. That's OK but having 1-2 bots in your league is not that bad (we all agree that the one league with 4 bots is an aberration, I suppose). What about C-leagues? I've been asking the admins to do something to condense players in C-leagues, so that players there have some more human interaction, too, and what is the result? They come with a plan in which new players bypass C entirely, thus making C-leagues even sparser. Your retention problem isn't in B-leagues, it's in C-leagues. This new plan completely disregards the plight of C-league players.
3. "...this solution will work also in time..." What exactly is the final goal of this plan? Is it to fill B-leagues with human players (in that case it will work in time) or improve player retention (in this case it won't).

I play in B-10 and its always been a strong league. At most 1 bot, a few times 0 over the last 3 or 4 seasons.
This season, due to a couple owners leaving during the season, we are up to 4 bots. That is just WAY too many for a B league.
I think decreasing the amount of teams in both the B and C divisions would make sense. as new teams enter put them in leagues of their own. I realize people will still leave in all leagues mid season, but make the adjustments after every season, not during.
And when replacing B teams do it with managed C league teams that have done well in their league. This requires full evaluation after every season, but would make the game much better over time.
GET RID OF THE BOTS!

I like your idea. Would you just increase the number of autopromotions but decrease the number of qualifying games keeping the nr of C league teams involved unchanged? (Like it is now: 64 teams would promote/have chance of promotion?) This would benefit some teams that are already in the B league but would play a qualifier (like me:).
I would make it actually more interesting and keep the same amount of qualifying games. to summarize there would be 16+#of bots autopromotions and 48 qualifying games which would mean that 64 C league winners + x number of 2nd places (=#of B league bots) would play the qualifier...
... and I hate the suggested change (has it been implemented already?)
