Dude, that actually is true. I am from New Orleans and my house is on the Westbank. Watch the news tomorrow and see what happens to Westbank. I am hoping for a miracle as I drink Zoladkowa Gorzka (that's a kind of Polish vodka). Have you ever heard of a hurricane party....
Your reply actually made me sober up. You may think I am crazy, but I think I am about to loose my house. What can you do in this situation? There is nothing you can do to stop it. I lucked out in Katrina and had just some wind damage. This time apparently my lo\uck ran out. SO what do I do? Kill myself? Well, first I got drunk...

I lived through Dennis in the Outer Banks, so I know what it can be like. We and our property were spared (just some wind damage) but others were not so lucky.
New Orleans certainly does not need this.

Totally destroyed was Warsaw and Dresden during II World War and it took 2 years to rebuilt both cities from a scratch. There will be huge damages but not totally city vanished like two of them.

yes, option B. It's lame Gustav is hitting you guys, but right now it appears it won't hit New Orleans directly. it's veering to the west of it a good bit!

Problem - the north east quadrant of a hurricane is where the most water and wind shows up....
i think fro wants to see new orleans destroyed.
