Interesting. I actually thought it's the other way round: Americans think the rest of the world are lazy (like the French with their 35 days paid vacation and 4 days workweeks), and the rest of the world believe Americans are ignorant (as exemplified by one politician who wasn't sure if Africa was a continent or a country :-))
But then, Americans are too ignorant to know what the rest of the world think of them and the rest of the world too lazy to learn if Americans are really as ignorant as they think they are... and so on...

I also don't doubt for a moment that there are foreign politicians who don't know parts of basic geography either. For every horrible thing you hear about the US, for every ignorant buffoon, every racist, every serial killer, every hate crime, there's numerous counterparts in the rest of Europe.
All one needs to do is listen to BBC for a couple weeks to figure this out.
America is simply an easy target, yet when their countries are invaded, who do they come crawling to? That's right. Bunch of European bitches, save for Britain.

Anyway, I just had to correct the stereotypes they used. The correct ones are:
Americans are rich, ignorant and arrogant.
Europeans are lazy, snobbish, stinky, and have crooked teeth. Oh, and they are sissies.
I will never argue with you that these are just stupid stereotypes and it’s a triviality to say that for every bad thing said about Americans the same thing can be said about Europeans. But it is not that Americans are particularly easy targets. You’re doing the same thing to others.
Now, remind me…what does this have to do with the A-leagues. I’m too lazy to scroll back and follow this entire thread.

I know that if i were to add onto the foreign stereotypes it'd make its way to the admin forum for someone to bitch at me about insulting another country, so i can't join in.

I'll admit, however, that Jon is stinky. he smells of arse. not that his arse smells, it's exuded from his essence. Even his elbow smells of it. When on the phone with him, i can sense it.
And, he's a portuguese adoptee. Swarthy too.
