it looked like we had a stronger team overall. it appeared the we outplayed them in the second half. the keeper change helped, but i don't think it was the whole story. bummer about the front end. good that they pulled through, though. also nice to know the middies are coming along.

Get ready to start playing Cruz, who you didn't play yet. With a 3.0 YS, and tech/pace training for the rest of this season and passing/PM next season, he'll be quite nice.

finally had a chance to watch the Iran game. i think the only reason they lost so badly was their tactic. the off the shelf tactics are really crappy. after that, I think we had a slight speed/pace advantage and an overall stamina advantage--they were definitely playing "slower" in the second half. but, all in all, given a decent tactic, it would have been a much closer game.

Arena is injured (+19)...

:-(

I'm sure U21 can manage w/o him, not sure if I can tho...

finally watched the latest game. it was possibly the worst job of ball control i have seen from our team this season. i suspect a lot had to do with the czech tactic as much as player development. our defense did really well. i also think the czechs were a stronger team, as well, which is why they scored so many goal right at the end of the match. thankfully this is a friendly season.

i assume the draw in the real season to come will be based on standings after this year/season?

Yeah sir.

This was a U20 game, and this was at this point the best lineup i think i could had play. I'm surprise we didn't lose more considering the tragic form of the keeper. Tactic wise i'm surprised of how many teams play with one winger, i wish i could do the same, but we don't really have a superwinger.

in that case, i was REALLY impressed with the defense. they rescued our keeper on many occaisions. and their single winger tactic definitely got them around our midfield. pretty frustrating.

on another note, what would you look for in a super-winger? not that i have one, of course...just curious.

pace, tech, passing?
2009-03-21 18:57:29
I think it should have passing and Pace very high, then TEC and PM.
as of now Outstanding passing is the higher we have, but the few players that have reached that level are either lacking of pace or TEC
2009-03-21 23:24:04
i would look for tom dizzle in a super winger

gonna train pm or def soon?
2009-03-26 19:47:13
Just for this guy I am gone train defense all season long next year....unless I will sell him which I doubt!!!
2009-03-26 19:54:17
nice
2009-03-26 21:43:09
Or you could train PM/passing for two seasons, a bit of defending, and make him a stud center mid by the time he's 22.
