I am currently training pace in the mid. During my league matches i train my 5 regular midies and during friendlies i mix it up and usually put some fowards and defenders in the midfield so that they can hopefully get pops as well. is this an effective method? i am just afraid that when i move my regular midfielder to a different position(defense or forward) to make space so i can train a foward/defender in the friendly, that it affects the training of the regular midfielder in return. any feedback would be greatly appreciated...
When training pace it doesn't matter what position they play.
dagwood is right and your concerns are also true. moving the five mids to a different position during the friendly cancels out their time player during the lague match, the more valuable of the two training sessions. pace can train up to 22 players weekly. if you want to double up some of your players training they have to play in the same position during the friendly as well...
Well IMO its bullocks that it trains 22... I mean the dude you put in the goalkeeper position really is getting VERY VERY little pace training.
and why do you say that?
i had a goalkeeper that regularly popped pace (just like any other postion),
so what were you smoking?

i trained three goalies in pace over the last three seasons and they popped at slightly slower rates. but not significantly slower.
maybe they were not that talented?
i see no reason why goalies should train slower

I trained three goalies and did not notice any difference in pace training. I agree with krepa.

well. your opinion is about something factual. therefore its not really an opinion to a idea, its your observational view of a fact. in which case there is merely are you right, or are you wrong. and i think in this case, everyone seems to believe you're wrong.
but, everyone is welcome to believe what they want.

everyone, being you and one others opinion? I see.....
Just kidding you are probabably right it just appears TO ME that it does not train pace at all effectively when you put a player in the Keeper box.
