I have a player who in the junior squad gained a level every 5 weeks. However when I train scoring (with unearthly trainer) he pops every 3 weeks.
Is this normal? Is there a ratio of junior squad increases versus regular squad?
(I assume that if I trained this guy in midfield and defender it would take much longer).

my guess is that the talent in JS is the average it takes for a junior to go from tragic to divine in any given skill except pace(a little longer). So if your player took 5 weeks per pop in JS and he popped every 3 weeks, I'd say he'll take longer to pop in higher skills.

That's my 2 cents.

what age is your striker?

between which levels is took three weeks to pop?

what coach did you have in the junior school?

hereis th chart for tracking skill increases in training skills. it is based, i believe, on a 4 week youth school talent. pace trains slower and so do higher talents...

poor to adequate - 2 weeks per pop
good to excellent - 3 weeks per pop
formidable to outstanding - 4 weeks per pop
Incredible to brillaint - 5 weeks per pop
Magical - 6 weeks
Unearthly - 7weeks
