Subject: voicing displeasure

I gotta say that I am not too happy with the replacement of the bot teams in my B league with two brand new teams that are marking 19 and 20 respectively. My league's prestige has taken a huge hit and as a consequence, my sponsership money has dropped about 25k per week. They would have slowly lost out over time anyways, but at least they were marking a decent 36 - 42 and were adding money to all of the owners in the league. Now you are just going to have these two new teams bounced back down to C where they belong anyways and what did we really accomplish?

Nice try... :-)

This topic has been beaten to death. I'm with you 100%, I think it is stupid, but apparently the Deciders in the sokker world have a different opinion. Any further discussion seems pointless. Over and out :-)

yeah, i brought up this same issue last season... its taken me a full season to get back to where i was sponsorship income wise... being on of the guys it took a long time to get outta C(4 seasons) it was even more frustrating. Guac has sympathy, but its not his call... without more users the USA can't really dictate to the Devs...

see what i dont understand is that we need my users in the US but when i have my freinds register they get rejected. This was the same as me when i first registered and then i had to petition and i was finally able to get in.... if we need more users why are some new applicants getting rejected?
(well i know that there are certain reasons) but if they are completely new i dont get it

what???? people are being rejected???
2009-03-11 18:37:41
i got rejected my first time before me freind was able to vouche for me. my freind who i wanted to join got rejected and he gave up.

it may have something to do with the use of IP addresses or something i really dont know... but one reason for my rejection may be i registered at a starbucks. that may be the reason it may not be but after writing to an admin as was accepted so i dont know....

if y'all applied for a team from the same place (like a university) then you got rejected because of the IP address issue..

I always tell my friends to apply from home..
2009-03-11 18:48:59
yeah i had to explain to them that i was applying from a starbucks and i also had my freind email the admin along with myself then i was accepted... and now it dominates my life and i choose sokker over studying....

so does any one want to write a 20 page research paper for me? if so please let me know it will be greatly appreciated :P

Yep. I got rejected at first, and then my friend just signed up like 4 weeks ago. But he initially got rejected because he attends the same university as my buddy and I.

a well timed email to an Admin could solve all those problems...

a well timed email to an admin can solve my 20 page term paper. SWEET.

20 pages... ah those where the days.
2009-03-12 00:38:03
lol unless you are working on your phd disertation (however you spell it) it still sucks. haha
2009-03-12 01:04:35
haha, its not a problem now. all three of us have our teams up and running now.

i accept/reject all users for USA, so i can answer the issue about registrations.

Yes, if you have a shared IP, you are rejected. You SHOULD get an email asking you to just contact admins@sokker.org explaining the shared IP.
