Subject: voicing displeasure
i accept/reject all users for USA, so i can answer the issue about registrations.
Yes, if you have a shared IP, you are rejected. You SHOULD get an email asking you to just contact admins@sokker.org explaining the shared IP.

how many people do you usually reject in this way?
is there a way for the new b-league teams to get b-league quality players and talent? instead of them getting crappy beginning c-league players they'd get a generally better starting lineup?
or maybe a tutorial for new teams. the rules section is huge, confusing, and time consuming to go through the entire thing and still today i find out things that either weren't clear in the rules or weren't in the rules at all. having a mentor is useful but not all the teams do this or there aren't enough mentors to go around. i'm thinking about some FAQ or 'getting started when your a new team', that every new team sees or would have to see. i dunno any ideas???

Giving newbies in B-leagues better teams would be fundamentally unfair. We should send all newbies to C-league. If the goal of all this is to purge the bots from higher leagues just introduce a new rule: if your opponent in a qualifying match is a bot, you win by default.
set that up in the newbie forum? maybe they should make the newbie forum mandatory once a new team registers?
to me it's fundamentally unfair for a team to take over a B-league team and have their starting players be crappy C-league players. If we're going to start them in B-league it would be a fair way for them to not have too large of a gap between them and the B-league teams. or maybe giving them more money to start with so they can lessen the gap by hitting the TL. i dunno, all i know is that the system now sucks and something has to change.
and there's stuff in the newbie forum but i find it to be generally not user friendly and easy to find. i mean it's been awhile since i started up so i don't quite remember exactly how it was but maybe a little start up page like, here's the skills that are good for each position, here's how you set your lineup, here's how you get a coach, they should be unearthly in the skill you're training etc. kind of like a simplified version of the rules to easily follow once you start.

this might have been mentioned before but why dont you just put the new guys in Cleague and when they take over a team move up an existing C leaguer?
... I'm in the B leagues as well, granted this is only my second season up here, but I mean really?
So you guys are going to complain and complain about the problem, then when a possible suggestion is offered, you claim its too much work.
Ever considered its the same way around for the developers of Sokker too?
@ Ivy,
I'm not singling you out here, I've seen other similar posts about placing newer teams into higher leagues only to the detriment of already established B league teams, and possible suggestions are offered and the ones complaining say its too much work.

i think a newbie guide would be an amazing thing to offer new players. my guess would be the biggest reason new members quit within the first few times logging on is simply because they are confused as hell.
and thats not really their own fault, theres a lot of info to take in
maybe ill write it

i'm not backing the suggested solution, only providing the answer we've been given before. Guac has already said he doesn't like placing new teams in B leagues. its the Devs who don't think they should have to rewrite code just to satisfy the USA and its problems. and understandable so when you look at world wide usage. a far simpler solution thats been placed forward is to make the USA a 32 league c league not 64. but again, now you have to completely reorganize and restructure the USA, and its not something they have prepared code lying around for...
use pictures. i always like pictures. oh oh, have one of a cow. i like cows.
seriously, i'd be happy to help you with the new member guide. but distribution is more of an issue. most newbs don't know how to navigate the forums. and get lost when they do.

Pigs are better than cows. Especially pink piggies.
Guac posts all new teams, send them the guide in a sk mail?
