Subject: voicing displeasure
very true when i first started i did not know what the hell was going on...then again i still really dont know but i had to depend on my freind to walk me through everything. a guide may be the answer fro good luck with that.
When I first started I got from krepa a guide (in Polish though, so useless for most of you, unless we translate it :-)). It was short and clearly explained what to do with your new team. I followed it and .... stayed in C for 3 seasons :-). But seriously, it's a great idea.
The other issue: I think we all know that putting newbies in B is a bad idea, for various reasons. All kinds of solutions have been proposed, I believe guac brought them to the devs and they said no, too much work. So all we can do is help newbies navigate the game.
The Brits have an interesting thing going. Some of the big shots invite newbies to friendlies on their big stadiums. That is a cash infusion that matters a lot when you are in C. Maybe some of the majors or A-leaguers would want to do this?

they do. the last few freindlies i had have been with a leaguers and such which helps out alot, but i mean it all depends on the A leaguer/ Major leaguers you cant force them to play newb teams that barely have any supporters themselves. its like in the real world its all about the $$
I'm not forcing anybody to do anything. i just thought it was a nice touch and it might help retention a bit, that's all.
lol yeah i know but for the sake of the game it might be nice to play freindlies in huge stadiums :D
navigation shouldnt be too much of a problem if someone sends every new team a message with the three clicks it takes to get there. guac announces all the new teams it wouldnt be that much effort
something that ive always found hilarious is that our forums lack the ability to stick an important topic to the top so it never moves down. and all the mods/admins seems content bumping rules in transfer forums 1000s of times
i think ill write it

Few things.
1) someone asked how many teams i reject. Normally about 1/3rd of teams get at least a note for update. Ie today i accepted 3 teams so far, 2 others were clearly duplicate teams, one other was logging in from germany. Was a bad day for people trying to be sneaksy.
2) Check the Mentors USA forum for some old threads if you want a manual
3) I wish we could change to 32 C's, too difficult.
4) greg hates sticky threads. don't ask me why.

this site is pretty helpful and can be considered a newbie guide:

i think the fact that it's on a 3rd party website is wrong and the fact i had to search for it in the newbie forums is also wrong. good idea, but wrong implementation of it. i'm thinking more along the lines of a tutorial or guide that he has to see as soon as he starts. something on the main sokker page that you click on just like how you click on the finance page or the office page etc. it may be a big undertaking.... ideas??
