Defending and Pace are my interchangeables. Now that I think about it more I agree playmaking is important for the winger. was just trying to keep it at 4 skills
Just trying to have a more open mind. Anyone can say PM, pace, tech, passing. I think adding in the def element makes it kinda unique and at the same time proves a good point of how it defends on positioning and conditions. I still think PM is not the MOST important as wingers are about creating chances and keeping possession and they will be able to create more with other skills.
I'm always open to feedback, thanks for that

Is that a question?
I agree defenders do have lots of defense and pace...those are basically their essentials
I was talking more in terms of winger, considering he asked the question about a team that plays wingers out wide.
which by the way I'm not sure if I explained fully but I would have my counter wingers on both sides in that case. better safe than sorry

just to compare:
1. tech
2.passing
3.pace
4.defending
"I think the other candidates will simply play tactics more according to real soccer rather than an online soccer where certain positions are more important than others"
elaborate plz

You were comparing your ideal winger with a "poor quality" defender.
It doesn't happen in the NT teams especially now that we are in the final group. It is not ike in your B league that you might play a bad defender. So you need to have a clear idea of what you are looking for or deal with.
It was just a suggestion!!

"B league that you might play a bad defender", ROTFL - maybe only at his :P
I have to go to a soccer banquet now but I'll be back in a few hours to answer
But really quickly to answer dio-nisio, no I was not using a bad defender in my answer. I wasn't really using a defender in my answer cause he talked about the wingers on the other team. I think my answer explains itself though that with their defenders being "angry defenders" by playing them out wide and giving them the job of crossing more than scoring, they will have to take them on less and therefore they will be useful. If the other team plays their defenders that far out, it will open up huge space down the middle that I will easily counter with a slightly pushed up midfield or maybe 3 forwards that spread the space between them so there's always one open guy.

in response to this, I like to use my throw in option. In real soccer any person throwing the ball in would take a look around and choose his best option. The game engine here just throws it to the nearest candidate therefore the game is different than real soccer. I think this is the best example of what I mean.
Now I'm not saying the other coaches don't know this or do this, but I'm saying for the game as a whole tactics are different than in real soccer. In this game you can do things like stack one side and play a winger far out on the otherside and have a chance if they don't have their team set to counter this. The reason being is, their tactics are already set. In real soccer a coach/team would see a side is stacked and simply change it right then, but here they can't. I'm very observant of the upcoming teams and I would use this to my advantage to create tactics so unique they wouldn't be able to be stopped in this game. in real life, easy counter. this game, good luck

Have you watched fromasta's tactics? If so what do you think is his greatest weakness? Do you think he pays attention to the throw in tactics?
Well he already won :(
So I'll just be watching him this season
best of luck to to the guy and I'll be back next season

for what its worth, many of your arguing points make sense:)
lol thanks robfol
I would love to have a debate amonst all the candidates, would probably give me a better chance
but everyone just looks at fromasta and sees he's da big leagues so they vote him :(
Saying that, i'm not saying he isn't a good candidate, I'm just speculating that a lot of people voted for him because he was in a higher league than me.
Guess I gotta get up there

Fromasta, was NT coach in the early stages, and as i recall, he's as today the most successful Nt coach we had.
i believe it was quarter finals in the final round for the NT world cup and semifinal in the unofficial U21 world cup.
