I've never finished lower than 3rd .. despite having had my best player (Abshire) injured THREE times for 25+ days each time.
I define 'winner' differently than you, perhaps.

by my definition, anyway.

I do not know Havlicek personally, but have been in his B league for a few seasons.
He would be a great choice for NT manager because of his experience and tactical acumen.

I'll match my record vs. better teams with anyone, even fromastaflex, who started in B-league.
My team started in C-League, where I won the first season outright.

You may ask the managers of the teams who have been in the same league with my team about their success vs. Lumen. dundey is one of them.

ok, so I have gone back in your B-Leagues archives, and 7 of the 9 seasons you have finished 3rd, the two other times 2nd. I am fine with setting the record straight. However, with this record one must ask if truly you are the best coach for the USA team.
If you had this record in the Major League it would probably be a selling point. But in B-League, not so much.
I just want the best coach for the USA. You may or may not be the best. A manager's record should be 'on the table' for consideration. Also, recommendations from his League mates ( along with managers I respect), and tactical discussion carry weight.
So, truly, wishing you the best. I might even vote for you. Just trying to get discussino going. and again, sorry for saying you finished 3rd EVERY season....did not mean to slight you.

I've enjoyed trying to win against teams with superior personnel, though, as you said, I never did win my B-league ... YET.

Interesting comments.

How closely have you inspected the tactics? A 5-2-3 that is actually a 3-4-3 with offensive wingers and excellent defense seems quite a good tactic when the opponents have better individuals.

I truly wonder how you can vote for an 'ancestor' as that means one of the people from which YOU descend.

This geezer is the only one on SK old enough to be anyone's ancestor here.

I am not here to explain some tricks with tactics (zero losses during past season) ;P

About an "ancestor" I wasn't talking about somebody old (grandpa-a-like) but a predecessor - Barndog in this case.

Though I'm lodged in B-League again for another year, I truly believe that my strength lies in TACTICS and would love to utilize this ability with a team of players with superb skills.
