Completely agree, however one of the first things i realized after being promoted was the difference in speed between other b league teams and my own. The speed factor is killer. Strategically speaking, i think having defenders and mid-fielders that are at least able to mark the opposing teams attacking players gives me a considerably larger chance of taking points home against better teams than my own. that was my thought process at least.

thats how I've managed to get where I am now, training defenders. I don't have much of a midfield to speak of, and just enough in terms of strikers to get by. I think the past season I gave up 37 goals in 14 games. Defender training has really paid off for me as this season I have given up half of that in 13 games. So, just as long as you know to not only train pace =)

30 spaces on junior team? I fire all juniors that do not have less that 5 week talent. I flux between 12-18 juniors. but 30? to me that seems like alot

yes. 30 spaces. I only have 24 in the school at the moment, and I keep some guys with 5 week talents, but a lot of them are guys that have yet to have made their first pop or second pop. Also fire guys who don't start at weak or better

with me I dont keep anyone at average or better...and they better pop the first week.!

eh, like I said, I just expanded it to 30 spaces this season, still bringing up the guys who aren't really talented, but I've put too much money into them to just sack them with like 6-7 weeks left..

yes, I try to get rid of all who will not come at at VG or higher....however some VG are still just crap and I cant give them away...maybe I should reconsider my junior club ...

ill pull average-goods if theyve the possibility of being 16yo, 3xaverage striker 16yo can get you plenty of coin (i havent lucked out yet but i know its a good strategy)

and ill also keep poors around just to test their talent. dont cut new jrs until after training because you might as well just see what happens free of charge the first week

I have had a few 'Good' players join the junior team with only 4 weeks before they are ready to join the team....however never have I gotten a 16 year old... :(
