I've actually been clear all along that a perfect defender would have divine pace, divine tech, divine defending, and divine playmaking. I've also been clear that training, "useful time" or what in options trading would be called "time value," and other factors make a defender like that a practical impossibility. So effective managing is about managing the tradeoffs one must make. And my assertion is that if a brilliant defender "gets the job done," managing those tradeoffs such that you maximize some of the "secondaries" at the expense of some defending skill can be beneficial.
I'm not sure why you're so combative about this issue. I've tried to avoid insulting you but you continue to treat me dismissively and somewhat insultingly. Eventually we'll meet in a competitive match, and I suppose the question will be somewhat settled then.

I think Divine Tech and Pm would be overkill.
IMO a defender doesn't need as much tech and pm as he does pace and defending. I don't think a defender need Brilliant tech or pm either.

I've been debating on how to play them since accepting the match.
haha, i think the strategy only needs to be 'start at least 10 players as to not lose by forfeit'
Turkey this week. They are suppose to play 4 or 5 19 year olds.
Exciting match today.
This group isn't as deep as the 21 year olds in the midfield. Better options at striker thou, and we should be strong enough on defense and GK.

i haz some mids that are 18 and really talented.
also is there anyone out there who is a dedicated pace/tech trainer? because I have another potential U21 mid who needs pace/tech and would be essentially the same as Cedric is now

I just found another striker.
I have not added him to the team yet, he was just sold and if he gets training he will be added to the team.
To answer your question, there is a big skill difference between the starters and the back ups right now. Some will get better as there skill set gets better. *cough Jimmy Gallatin cough* So no, very little testing.
With the 21 year old class there was a lot more balance and I was able to play the players who had high form.

Sorry but I don't think Jimmy will ever play for the U21. He badly need TEC, but i will not train TEC for a long while becasue when i got him i just ended my Tec Train.
