I suck at write ups but I wanted to post something.

Howabout something like this:

At 01:30, server time, the USA U21 (#62) will play Mexico U21 (#12) in a friendly match to open the new season. Last season, Mexico had a record of 9-0-1. The single draw being against Norge U21. The U.S. record was 3-2-5. On the surface, that does not bode well for the American squad. However, last year’s players for both countries have aged and will not be playing. With both teams fielding teams of new players, the potential to do well is there for the Americans. But, can they pull it off? On Mexican soil?

Anyone have predictions?

but is this season for U21 qualifiers?? or am I missing something?

no its all friendlies for us because we did not qualify into the official u21 world cup

but a bunch of the teams that didnt make the top 32 spots are having an unofficial world cup. sadly most of the teams participating are small countries with 50 users who have had a handful of sokker seasons, and us

okay, so how will this work then? this season's 18 yr olds will play in the next U21 WC?

next season is all friendlies? then qualifiers? then WC?

It is a 2 season cycle, next season we will be trying to qualify for the next official World Cup.

Hence, all of the U20 games we will be playing at the end of the season.

This season's 19 year olds will play in the next official World Cup

there is no all friendly season. this season is U21 WC, next season is qualification fo the next U21WC, season after that is a U21WC, etc.

we just happen to not be in the U21 WC this time around, so its technically an 'all friendly season' just for us along with the other teams that didnt qualify this time around either. what's being organized is an unofficial friendly tournament with teams that didnt qualify for the real thing

elections are held every season, people dont get 2 terms for quali and wc guaranteed, maybe thats whats throwing you off. right now we are in the middle of a quali-world cup 2 season cycle

yea I think so. Dio had the U21 for both seasons if I remember correctly?

yea theres been two seasons. the first one was actually a friendly season for everybody to get used to it and to work out any bugs, and last season was the first qualifer season

Well, I was hoping for better results. I Guess we should be happy with the score.

Was an odd game I think. We got outshot 8-1, They scored on a PK., we tied it up on an own goal from there keeper. The best 2 scoring opportunities of the game had 1 of our forwards 1 on 1 against there keeper and we failed to get a shot either time. sigh

edit: forgot to mention they played 60 mins shorthanded.
