Subject: Junior Matches...

Is it me or is this game slowly evolving to be similar to "other" game? I left that dumb game cause it was boring as hell. I like the challenges that this game presents but it seems like its almost like the "other" game except for the tactics, live games, faster training. Oh and the stupid cartoonish characters in the "other" game is so annoying.
What do you peeps think?

yes, having junior matches, to me would not be very productive. however I will not know as I am shutting down my junior team in about 10 weeks, after the last of my worthy juniors joins the senior squad...just dont see the cost benefit of it.
EDIT: it is frustrating to have juniors join the team and are great, only for them the have TRAGIC stamina, and thus are worthless.

I am confused by your statement above as Preston Singer would appear to totally counter your arguement for Not having a Juinor Team. I would hazard a guess he is worth Millions in both Dollars and Pounds.....so surely you have seen more than a cost benefit there?
dennis, you should be praying for tragic stamina for your junior players. it's so much easier to train up.
my reasoning-
in the last 2 season (going back to 5-01-09) I had one really good junior I sold for about 600K. Lest say I were to sell Singer fo 1.5Mil, that is about 2.1 I might gross. in that 32 week time I would pay for 25 junior spots, and 35K for a brilliant coach, so 60k per week, so about 1.9 outlay. so take out seller 4% sales (84K) and that is about 100K positive over two season.

Ok I see your point but its still positive. It has not happened to me but a friend of mine made total sales of £7m over 3 weeks worth of pulls so therefore I would stick with it. Not just that but USA needs managers with Youth Acadamies to feed the U21 and Full NT. I would suggest that Singer is worth of more than $1.5m, what are his stats if you don't mind me asking? I train strikers so I may be able to suggest a value.
yes to break even with an average sized jr squad you need to make about 1M per season, which most seasons is hard to do. ive never had much luck with the jr squad, and not having one at all is definitely not a bad decision.
but i think this new feature will make having a jr squad fun if you can actually compete against other managers with them.

i'm just wondering how SK is evolving to be more like HT. Besides the fact that both now have youth squads, the implementations aren't similar, the effect on the team, etc.
And that's only one area that's evolving...
And "except for the tactics, live games..." -> uhm, isn't that kinda a majority of the key features of a sports simulator?

I meant the direction of the upgrades, first the "champions league", and then the junior games. Seems like its similiar to HT, n i bet that in the near future there will be a player's "faces" addition. And i didnt say that SK is like HT cause its not even close in terms of the gameplay. Just that the additions are similiar to what HT has. Also, i just wanted to see how many had the same view as me cause i played HT from 2004- 2006 and got bored to death.
K now lets step away from bashing me and talk about Tiger Woods!

I think they are natural progression for the game do you not?
What other additions would you put forward? Not bashing just asking as I am struggling to thik of other things right now.
PS Tiger Woods what a wally, his wife is so stunning too!

Being SK and HT soccer simulation, the Champions league is just a natural upgrade: it has being requested since i joined both games by the users and the rason is to see who's the best team in the game.
About the Junior League, i guess it is just a way of evolve the game and keep old users from getting bored, and change the game routine a little.
About the Junior School: since i start the game i used heavily and my trainees comes only from my Junior school.
Transfers income: 87 793 210 $ average 482 381 $ (182 of sales)
Transfers expenses: 75 876 000 $ average 3 035 040 $ (25 of purchases)
of those 25 players i bought i think i still have 8-9 of them and i resold the others, so basically i sold 170 players that cam out from my Junior school. I could say thati made around $60 mils (some of this players were trained, some sold just out of school).
I never calculate how much my youth coach cost, and if it was worth but i only got my magical in my second or third ML season. My best player Greer was a 17YO formidable pull with i think a formidable junior coach and i trained him for 11 season now.
I guess it is just how you like to play the game. (i will never win the ML, but i was happy when i beat Fromastlex for the first time 2 weeks ago)

so youre suggesting we dont have a champions league just because HT did? its not like they invented the concept of a champs league, its a natural next step in any international sim game
I'm not suggesting anything, i just wanted to know if anyone else thought that the progression is similiar to HT's, cause HT's preogression, was in that same order...
