Is there anyone else liking the new youth system? Or is it just me?
I like the games but the actual youth system sucks... There is almost no point in having juniors without knowing their talent. But I do like knowing their age.
You may not know there exact talent but you can figure out if there are talented fairly easy. And age means way more anyway.
So...it's better keeping an 18 yr old with uknown talent then an 18 year old with 5 week talent?
Not exactly, how did you know he was 18? He could of been 19 or 20, then what, jack sh&t thats what.
a 5 week talent 16 year old will pop faster than a 4 week talent 18 year old.

The new system does suck. are you guys sure that the down ticks arent just a distraction and you can actually count the weeks still that it takes to get from good to very good as their talent (even though the amount would be different then in the past, it still correlates the talet just the same perhaps?). On a side note I seem to be getting more adequate to good players every week then in the past....

That's just a teaser... they come good but the following week they drop to mediocre.
But I still like the new system. Dag's right. You can still track the talent. Just average out the random shifts in level.

The accuracy of that talent measuring also depends on if that player has been playing youth games or not. If they don't play, the coach will not know how good that junior is. So, you have a player in the school for 8 weeks. But your school has 25 juniors. When will he play? Will you play juniors that are coming out under 10 weeks in favor of those who come out later? How many games does it take for his talent to be the most accurate possible with the level of the coach?
Old way, I could know the exact talent of a player that's in there 6 weeks, with an early raise in the first week. This system....is 4 games enough to know his level? And besides that, How can you know his talent??

I won't argue about talent, I understand some of you just wont accept this part of the change regardless of anything I say.
The part you are completely ignoring is what will give you the most financial reward, and that is age.
old school players joined your team 16-18 years old. That means 1/3 of your juniors and are junk and 1/3 are average at best before you even try to figure out there talent.
Nothing about junior talent has changed, the faster they pop the more talented they are.

In my last junior match I played 5 16 year olds ranging frow 19-28 weeks before being pulled. All with good-very good ability.

..and of course it dropped to adequate after that match, therefore, their talent remains unknown.
I pulled 4 juniors this past week..
One was a keeper with very decent skills..18 yrs old...
Sold him for 30k. I think in the old days, I would have gotten a bit more then that.
Solid keeping, solid pace, good passing.
