Subject: NT vs Brazil

The idea with the strikers was filled with good intentions, but as you correctly point out it was not very effective. Luckily for me I get another chance next week and I will try to come up with a tactic that can win without needing to rely on opposition red-cards!

When I was scouting the Brazil tactics it was clear to me that this was always going to be a very hard game. They play very solid tactics and with a great team, particularly in offensive areas it was always going to be a huge challenge to come up with a tactic that would allow USA to dominate the match. Hopefully next week I will face an opponent who isn't so tactically aware ;-)

Also, the poor sap who has the Brazilian GK is probably a bit upset with him now being out of action for the next 3 weeks.

Cards are part of the game and there is nothing you can do to prevent them. So what if they scored a goal because of the sent off. PS! Boring tactics from both sides. I hate those games where all 20 players are in midfield.

I agree, very boring.

I don't mind playing against a trap, i've had good luck against them in the past. Hate watching the games.

Not too much I can do about it, the defensive & midfield positioning is what kept us competitive in the game despite poor placement of the strikers. It almost comes down to a question of whether you would like good results or attractive play?

I dunno, I seen our defenders making tackles from behind quite often, the red card could of gone the other way.

I know that part of the game, but until the expulsion, Brazil was playing better, was 2x0.
Brazil deserved to have won :(

PS: I also don't like such tactics :P

We are still amongst the top seeds (top four get seeded), so we can only play against one of the following teams:

Estonia
Mexico
Lietuva
Slovensko

Looks like we have to play Mexico next, probably one of the worst possible draws :(

All I can say is that it was a very enterteining game. After the 3rd gol it looks as if Brazil had given up!

It was a small bit of revenge for brazil's comeback from 2 goals down at the confederations cup final :)
