Subject: Stadium attendance

My benches under roof are selling out and my seats under roof are not.

I'm tempted to turn some of my seats to benches. Anybody else with the same or a different observation?

How much money do you make for each home game from each side?
If you make more from the seats under roof then you do from the sold out benches under roof...

Has anyone else noticed a preference for benches under roof?

What about the stadium that only have seats, do they ever sell out?

These are really the questions I'm asking.

There will be a preference for benches rather than seats. Fans opt for the seat nearest to the value they want. IE fans which would go in a terrace will go to a bench rather than a seat if that is their only choice. If you only have seats then that is where they will go instead. I've sold out my under roof all seater stadium a couple of times (not for a while though).

The economy is bad out there people, less money for entertainment in fans' budgets no doubt.

I almost always sell out my benches under roof. Perhaps there's a optimum ratio of seats to benches that we need to figure out.

The optimum is always all seats all under roof. As far as I am aware, cheapskate fans won't not go if their cheap seat isn't available. That being said, there is no way that can conclusively ever be proved.

It works for me, all seats under roof. Raking in a good average even in B-league.

Sharing some data

Benches along line under roof
10000 available will always sell out at $7.5 = $ 75,000

Seatss along line under roof
10000 available with average attendance down to 7500 at $8.75 = $ 65,625

That's been my experience (can't sleep tonight, plenty of time to do the math).
