Subject: NT vs Poland

Hmmm I missed that, I had this happen before for me...I asked about it whether it was a bug and was told it was just a presentation thing. ;)

Well part of my tactic is to play an offside trap, so its frustrating when it isn't given. Not too surprising though, I have seen it a few times before and yes its just a presentational issue.

2nd goal - WTF was that? Situation with this same guy in 39' - offside occurred. 54' and similar situation from 2nd goal, but there is no bounced-off ball. Polish player on the off side situation, no offside occurred :\ Also Madsen was tackled once from behind when Polish defender was two steps behind him (an animation bug?)

Congrats to your achievements in this WC season. You would have my vote (again), if you'd decide to carry on.

I thought your tactics were great in the finale, except for the little weakness in the defensive center. Unfortunately the game was practically over after 15 minutes because of these silly goals for Poland. Besides, the randomness of the cards is hard to bear in a WC finale, isn't it.

Phil, that is not acceptable. If you do not run, then there is a chance that I will fail to convince people that I am completely inappropriate as an option for NT coach. It shall not stand!

I have never been sure of which NT side I would like to manage next season.

for the future i suggest not putting your lone winger in a spot where he recieves the cross from a corner kick on the opposite side of the field instead of the forward, it happened the past 2 games

He was on the other side of the pitch and no-where the box. I have no clue why my player would want to cross to him rather than the striker in the edge of the six-yard box, pretty sure there was nothing I could have possibly have done about this.

haha calm down, its just a minor detail i was commenting on not taking anything away from the great job youve done

as for why he got the ball crossed, its just how the ME works. obviously a bad choice by the taker of the corner but he was within the range of the crosser and it happened

the fix? id drop him backward, basically just eliminate him as an option by moving him out of range just on that top corner square. put him to good use by placing in a spot to have more #s waiting for a defensive boot

i ran into this problem a while ago, it would happen on corners and deep crosses, non forward players would recieve the ball instead of my striker on the 6. i just backed those players away into a spot where they would be effective collecting a defensive boot if the ball got cleared and the problem was fixed, theres no real need for them to be so high when someones crossing the ball on the other side anyway
