Ok, let's pretent we are still a colony. We need some tea. No taxation without representation. Long live the king!

See, if the US had looked that way at foreign aid, most of the rest of the world would be in civil war or worse (they might be getting visits from Brad Pitt and Oprah for infomercials!)

Just when WE need the help, you turn a blind eye on our need. THAT's the thanks we get. Sigh.... :)

Has any GM said anything about 'redoing' the new game engine, works on 'redoing' the new match engine, or that they are not going to do anything about it, inparticular the increased amount of injuries and length of injuries?
2006-04-27 10:46:29
The amount of injuries has increased by 22%, the creators have said they're fine with that, because they were too rare before. There has been a lot of complaints though, so they might give in to that.
2006-04-27 10:48:07
I said before that the amount is right, just the length isn't. That's what needs changing really, the average injury should be 10 days or less, not 16 as it is now.
2006-04-27 10:59:11
I haven't thought about that one before, but yes, you're right there. Injuries should be of a length where your trainees will miss at most 1 official match (that's how it's done in HT, with the doctors you can make sure any young trainee will be back in action in 2 weeks). Since we can't do anything about the length of injuries here, the length should be decreased a bit.

16 days is really effectively as bad as 21 days injured. The player misses 3 weeks training unless the player is young - they don't train the match they get injured on Sunday, the next two Sundays and if the player is a bit older then the 16 days has at least one or two where there isn't a drop, so it stretches to 18 or 19 days. This causes the player to the friendly in the 3rd week as well.

3 weeks training ON AVERAGE for each injury is excessive. No one would mine missing a week or two. But 3...?

the average injury should be 10 days or less, not 16 as it is now.

Do you have any facts about it ?
2006-04-27 11:58:05
You can play him in wednesday's friendly when slightly injured. If he gets injured on sunday for 16 days, it's very well possible he'll be ready for next week's friendly on wednesday (10 days later).
And I was talking about trainees here, so they're usually not much older than 22, he'll have at most 1 day extra injury time. That means a trainee will miss one week's training with a 16 day injury received on sunday. That's fine with me!

I had one of my best trainees injured for 30 days on the 16th, he's already missed 2 training weeks and will miss one more. Not too happy about that, especially since his form was finally rising as well, but now he's heading for tragic form again :(
2006-04-27 12:12:17
No. But from what I've seen there are just as many long term injuries as short term, and 16 is the median number.
2006-04-27 14:32:47
DOH. Forgot about that. Ok, my argument stands - losing on average 2 weeks of training is excessive too. 10 days - you only lost one of them.
