Subject: fla21667 [U21]
He's kinda old for immediate U21. But potential if trained in keeper for like 2-3 seasons..
yeah i meant for a keeper trainer. Of course he's much too shit for u21 right now.
I have a similar keeper of same age, better GK and passing, but his pace is the drawback, and as the other poster said, he is a bit old to have much impact U21, but maybe at an older age if trained well.
I had posted him in the NT forum then deleted it, he's just a year to old.
@gaz, Dag has offered his support to me as well, so we will get it all sorted out, but it is pretty easy to search for USA players and max age 21 on the TL.
I'm offering my support to all U21 candidates in this matter. I have a saved search set up for 2 different age groups. 20 and under 100k min value, 18 and under 40k min value. I have all the 21 year olds on the team bookmarked, with osoccer I know almost immediately when they are listed.
I check them a couple times a day. It only takes a few seconds.
With continued enthusiasm and if you can follow that up with increase tactical understanding you can be the right man for the job.

While I would prefer to have someone from the U.S. managing the team, National pride will not be my deciding factor. I am more concerned with having someone who knows how to compete against the teams the U21 team will eventually play.
Please explain what mistakes you made along the way in your U.S. A-League history. It took 10 seasons to finally win your league and promote to ML?
Why did it take you so long?
What decisions did you make along the way that you would have changed.
What do you think you have learned along the way that will help you succeed in putting together a winning squad?
I did like what you had to say about not knowing what tactic to play before seeing the player pool.
Best of luck.

It looks like current elections run is more excited then season ago :)
Well the simple reason I was in A league is three fold. (1) Lack of interest for a few seasons in the middle (my work got a firewall making it harder to find time that I used to use a lunch... I now work at home a lot so I have more access to game), trying to believe my defense could win it for me alone (not until I signed a stud striker last season did it all make sense) and frankly A.4 was a damn hard league. Look at the teams that had come in and out of there from the ML.
So that answers both the first two questions. I would have focused on getting better strikers earlier, but if you recall the ME used to favor strong defense so I took advantage of it.
I do not think there is a simple answer to what I have learned, but train what you have, and buy what you don't. Balance is key, but without balance skew your tactics to work with what you have in relation to your opponent.
Thanks.

A league 04 was hard cus I was there :p when i promoted to ML i got 2nd place. Im expecting the same for you ;)
Vovo, a little pressure on me huh?
I have two choices, if I go with what I have I will be happy with top 4. Or I could sell a couple of the older guys, pray for top 7, train the 23-25 year olds, buy a couple of guys and be there next year.

yeah of course. I would take the 2nd option it would be better if you want to stay in the ML longer than 1/2 seasons
You started 6 weeks before I did, I can't hold that against you
btw, I believe I just had my 2nd highest youth pull sale
