Announcing my (very late) candidacy for U21 NT. Played Sokker for 2 years now and have improved nearly every season save one.(I'm also in probably the strongest B league in the USA at the moment in terms of average ratings and I believe I can hold my own there.)I Have made some decent tactics that don't involve the use of a winger a lot which can be a benefit I think with these new Match Engine changes.
I've been toying in my mind that I wasn't ready to even attempt to lead the NT, but I figure I'll go about next season and do the same thing as well and secondguess myself which will lead me to never take the chance.
I'm sure I've left something out, so please feel free to ask.

You said you have been toying with the idea of running the NT. Do you have plan or a direction in which you see the team going?
What is your opinion on the strength and weaknesses of the team?
Will you admit Ohio St sucks?

Well the U21 group is a tough one at the very least, but it is also very winnable. England and Switzerland will be tough opponents, and Moldova always is a team that can beat you if not prepared. Vietnam and Luxembourg should not be a problem, but I won't take them lightly either because every point will count in this group.
Given the odds, I think that we can at the very least secure 2nd place. And with some of the other results going our way, we could very well end up on top of the group.
As for strengths, we have a few key playmakers in midfield with Tarley and Hale. Up top we have Bogans/Singer/Tucker(20y)
Along the back, I'd have to say Devlin and Duffy(20y)
GK wise, we've got quite a few, but not a standout one of note. Maybe Terris who is only 20, but all depends if his club will be training him still.
And No. They do not suck.

Well not saying Ohio St. sucks really makes it difficult for me to cast my vote for you, and I know Dag feels the same way
Just something to consider

Can you give me an example of what kind of tactic you would use if elected?
I'd play with a usual back four defense setup. If my opponent ran a winger usually, I'd switch that to flat five. Depending on the pace of many of the players, I'm comfortable enough to try and toss a trap in if they play very aggressively.
I've been wondering what Hale could do if he were player in that Attacking midfield spot but shifted left/right(not in your typical wing slot though) Would give him more space to work with instead of being clustered in.
From there, I could run 3 mids across the middle with one as a Holding Mid to break up any quick breaks. Strikers would be up top and would shift as necessary to their defensive arrangements.
I have some other ideas in mind to run with 3 strikers as well.

Yeah, I had some success with 3 strikers. IMO its the way to attack U21, Hale is a monkeywrench in some ways.
So I've noticed. He's an excellent winger/central midfield, but can't really play up advanced(maybe when he is older and is better? Of course that doesn't apply to U21 this season.)
Ty for the bump as well Dio. =)

If elected will you play U20 friendlies?
Your spot on about Hale

Looking at the list of fixtures, most of the season is dominated by the group play which I intend to play the strongest players/those in form. I think there will only be 3 maybe 4 friendlies though?
In regards to some of the friendlies, I'll try to field mostly 19-20 year olds in those as well as the out of form 21 year olds(out of normal positions perhaps to see if that will boost their form or not, as having a great player does nothing when they are in tragic form.=])
