Subject: [U21] vs Moldova
I believe a long time ago there were only 5 slots iirc...
Those were the good old days where you can win everything with with one player.
OK Dio, here I am, yes Llama was right I was without a computer over the weekend.
Llama apparently knows something I don't about the skill of wingers (and yes Dags, we have a definitional issue here) at this level... they don't have the skill.
The defense was based on how I have always played my back line, and it didn't work here, but based on the way Moldova had been playing his strikers, it seemed a logical tweak.. didn't work. And probably will push them more forward s England, especially with the loss of Unseld.
Also, I did want the strikers to retrieve the ball at the half line as it seemed in the past Moldova was vulnerable to that kind of tactic, again, things were different.
Sorry boys, they were beatable, but they put out a stronger rated team, and his tactic did not play well with what I had scouted.
Does anyone have a strong issue with me sharing some player skills with Llama? His input has been stellar so far, and in a couple of cases confirmed somethings I was questioning, and offered insight in other areas, but nothing on player selection.
Banda disappointed me, and I did not play him in a position that he could succeed in, a tactical f**k up. I would have been nice to have had a friendly first, and more than 5 days to prepare.
Ok, guys, I am beginning my work for England, and I am getting Shultis back, so that should help a lot, losing Unseld was tragic, and still being without Hale is not ideal. Onward, and these will be a valuable 3 points. We are fortunate only one team took a victory.

It seems the new English coach also had time issues, so don't take there last match as what you will see this week.
How about I play Patton as a winger on Wednesday and we see, how he is doing? He fulfills 95% of the listed requirements for a U21 winger.
another thing
Next time open your own thread so I don't have too. :P

Patton did not win the match for me and did not get an assist to his name, but got a 54, which is the highest rating for him so far. He even has 2 shots on goal ... which probably just indicates that I should give him some PM training. ;-)
For your information, he got a general pop in technique this week. I will play him as winger in my A-team from now on.
