Tactic was ok, throw in defense looked much better. I would give better than ok if the wide defenders would of gotten wider faster.

yea that was my one comment to fla was we'd need to spread our wingbacks a bit more

but I can't be mad at the guy cause we did get the win

Part of the reason that the defenders were narrow was there was very little to suggest a need to go wider. All their goals came up the gut.

Look at their first three chances, they all game from throw ins at the 40 yard line when Burns overthrew Tarley who was in front of him, underthrew Hale and it led to a counter. I do not think the issue was so much the wide defenders but the fact I moved up the central defense from prior games. I also think he played his strikers higher because of this, thus the offsides. Additionally, the winger seemed wider than anything I recall.

Things I noticed besides Burns throws. Duffy clearly muffed a clearing that led to a goal (think it was the 3rd). It is funny the way the younger strikers dribble away from chances. Really pleased how Mackenzie and Caray have played together. Led to the winner and they had two other great chances.

The good news is the Swiss had only conceded 1 goal (vs England) prior to this game and we rung up 5. Their ratings were higher, but we got it done.

Will be interesting to see what changes might need to be made, there is no way I am standing Pat here. This next match must see a result. A draw is fine, but a win would clearly distance us from the 4 non-qualifiers.

Duffy and Burns both have there limitations, as Unseld and Trigg do. Devlin and Mastroni are solid, the rest you have to give something up.
