Any reason why we positioned Greer as a third striker at times?

I was surprised to see that myself, If I am correct its a result of there high back line when we had free kicks in the defensive end.

Did you notice it any other time?

we were better off 11 on 11 then 10 on 10 lol

It was a result of their high back line. In my opinion, an offensive midfielder is almost always a wasted player. I always preferred to keep all midfielders deeper so that they would have more time to pick out a through-ball rather than picking up the ball with the opposition defence about to tackle him.

Only other point was that it would probably have been better if we had played a slightly higher defence.

They pretty much over-ran us in midfield it seemed, so the biggest issue would have been to find a way to fix that. Not the easiest given their quality of player was higher, I know.

Sorry if that seems a little harsh, we had a decent attempt at the world cup given the players available, especially with form, injury & suspension issues. I'm sure you can learn from this to improve the team for the next campaign.

I did not expect to get over run in the midfield.

I gave it my best shot. I'm not satisfied with finishing in the final 16, but under the circumstances I'm not disappointed either.

I would like to move back to the U21 squad and use the association as a tool to develop players for the squad. I feel a strong U21 squad will produce a strong National team.

tough loss, but they outpossessed us and outshot us so looks like they deserved the win from the report at least.

Final 16 is still decent mate so dont get too down about it. Hopefully fla and I can get the U21 further though :)
