25m could buy a whole bunch of amazing players
2010-11-08 00:05:15
Do you actually believe Llama has $25 million? He is running a 1.2 million loss on transfers and his stadium isn't exactly developed.
2010-11-08 00:06:44
yea... Could buy like 3-4 x3 magical players..

Sure it might be overkill for B-League, but it would be great
2010-11-08 00:07:45
no idea mate, I was just fantasizing out loud.

good luck in our match btw
2010-11-08 00:16:56
if he doesn't have a junior school... its possible... kinda... after a while.
2010-11-08 00:38:54
I don't buy that "I have 25 M USD" story
2010-11-08 01:58:10
Back in the day $25M meant 25000 in the brokerage business and $25MM meant million. Maybe he is going old school on us?
2010-11-08 02:00:57
tough match for the Babes tonite....
2010-11-08 02:40:34
I don't see how it's hard to believe I have 25M

before my current team I didn't buy anything really

I only started a junior school recently at 15 juniors, before it was at like 2-3

I've been here for a lot of seasons doing nothing and not paying any wages but just staying in the top in C league earning money.

and the reason I don't spend it is because why waste that huge bank right now to simply COMPETE in my league. Besides I have a full set of trainees right now so no point in wasting that investment.
2010-11-08 03:01:44
To compete? You could win if you committed some of that $25m smartly.. Buy 3-4 good midfielders(just an example, not sure what you train atm)

Or buy better trainees?
2010-11-08 03:22:02
Llama, you really are starting to concern some people about your management skills, and this could hurt your NT chances.

Some very successful managers who have played the game less time than you and have been more successful are giving you sound advice, and you are arguing from a poor position. You can promote with trainees, just fill in the other positions with sound players. It is pretty simple.

Sometimes I think you are over-thinking this. There is a successful formula, and you are trying to re-invent the wheel.
2010-11-08 03:55:30
of course i'm trying to re-invent the wheel!

and how many times I gotta say this, I'm a COACH not a manager. The honest reason I don't spend the 25 million is because I'm afraid I'll overpay and lose all the value.

In hattrick I'm also banking 22 million right now and it used to be much more but I invested stupidly and lost everything lol
2010-11-08 04:18:14
How would promoting be losing the value? So what, you overpay a player or two.. You learn by doing it.
2010-11-08 04:49:57
that's my problem, I never learned

I guess it's safe to say that I've learned I never learn, so now I just bank
2010-11-08 12:42:06
screenshot or bullshit. I'm 100 % sure its bullshit
2010-11-08 12:47:27
I'm a COACH not a manager.

This is the rub my friend. You say you are a coach, but you do not deliver results. You say you are afraid of overpaying, well if you do not trust yourself there, can you trust yourself to pick the best players when you run for NT?

It is hard to really tell if you tactics are working. I can make a wonderful drawing, but if it is in crayola, while it may look nice, it will have minimal value. And that is essentially how your team is. I have no doubt you are very good at identifying things in an opponent's tactic, and are good on how to compensate, but what I am not certain is if you can execute.

You will have my support for NT still, but if for any reason it looks like you are not able to answer the questions that will be posed to you and we will have a foreign manager (yes it is NT manager, not coach) because of the issues that keep popping up, that will concern me greatly.
