Subject: I gotta rant....
Do you think thats a high bid for a 24 YO devine defender with only excellent pace?
$2.5M
$2.5M
yes thats about right with his level of pass/pm/technique
but not his injury... wasting 5 weeks of training.
Oh sorry
You have 2 game winning streak, which means you are on a HUGE hot streak and all your fans love you...
or
You are in 3rd place, and your fans don't like it because they expect better based on past seasons and won't be happy until this improves...
Which is more realistic?

Neither makes sense, because I in terms of the league I am performing above average.
With that being said, I don't think I should be losing fans.
I could see not gaining fans, but losing fans? That just shows how unrealistic the engine is.

Team finished A-League.01 in position 2.
2010-11-08
and you won 5 of 9 games this season.
When you judge your favorite sports team do you judge them on the last 2 games or an entire season?

I've got the same number of points as the 2nd place team, but I am in 3rd because of GD.
Again, I think your point is weak in this discussion as that if a team isn't challenging for 1st place, in real life, not many people care about the difference between 2nd & 3rd.
you are kind of nitpicking every little thing to try to make point, and I think the things you are bringing up are weak compared to these things: 2 game winning streak, in the top half of the table ( 3rd place due to GD), and most importantly, currently out of danger of being relegated.
We can continue to disagree, I think my points are stronger.

I don't.
You aren't winning enough. You had a crushing loss 7-0 to FC Pattaya who is currently only sitting on 9 points. Then you barely managed to beat him 3-2 the next week.
On top of that, you drew 0-0 against U.S.A who is currently sitting in last place with 7 points. You then beat him 2-0 this past weekend. Your supporters expect more from your club. If you are going to win, they want it to be wins with huge margins. A "title challenging" team such as yours should not be dropping points to bottom half teams.
And when you did beat them, you squeak by victories.
3-2 win
2-0 win

You also won 1 of your last 6 friendlies, right or wrong this affects your supported mood too.

Fan, We're not discussing "WHY" things are happening the way they are, we know why. We understand that the devs have implemted changes to make things work a certain way.
We are discussing HOW RETARTED THEY ARE, and why they should be changed. Mostly because they are so far off with how fans react in reality.
This whole discussion came about because of the other threads regarding, how to grow the U.S. User base. I and Jefe are merely mentioning how difficult it will be to continue growing the user base, if the people currently playing the game for 3+ years are fed up with it and start to lose interest in the game, then how will they expect to get new users involved. Just sayin.....
And just to retort to you chiming in, which I'm glad you did, because I can now use the Arsenal Fan base as a prime example as to how the game engine is nothing like it is in real life. Arsenal never have a shot at winning anything, yet their fans are FANS, super FANS, so much so that they think they can win anything at any time of the year, but in REALITY, they win NOTHING, ZERO, ZILCH, SQUAT, BUPKISS! And yet, they still support the team, not just support it, they probably have the most loyal fans in the world. Their MGMT screws the fans over with the highest priced tix in the EPL, only bargain shop for players, while they stuff most of their profits into the pockets of the owners. Arsenals prime objective is one thing and one thing only, to qualify for Champions League. So with that being said, I want to thank you. And one more thing, I can't wait for Barca to crush your hopes next month! :-)

retarted is the action of making something that formerly had a sour taste tart again, correct?
Now I think you are just ranting to rant, you have a preconceived notion of how the fan mood should work and regardless of someone else opinion you want to keep the sour taste in your mouth.
The Detroit Lions have the longest winning steak in the NFL, anyone mistaking them for world beaters?

Actually, I think I took over Jefe's rant, and then just started to have little fun with MrFan.
I agree, my definition of a Fan is certainly different from what the game's definition of a Fan is. I at least used real life examples to help try to prove my point. And I think I'm a lot closer to what happens in reality.
As far as the Lions go, that Barry Sanders sure is swell!
