Subject: [U21] mario.t

Hello guys!I guess most of you haven't noticed me around so I'll start with a few basic things about myself.

I'm an administrator here so I hope that can guarantee that I'm a serious person and I won't leave the team without the needed attention.I have played the game since 2006 and I've seen a lot in this game and experimented more than enough with my team.I also have some experience in managing NT teams as I've managed Bulgaria U21 for 3 seasons and almost qualified the team for the U21WC with players that are way behind USA U21 players.If you are interested in my tactics you can see some of them exactly from my period as Bulgaria U21 manager because now I don't pay much attention to my team's tactics as I don't have the needed players to variate my tactics (I train 6 future Bulgarian NT strikers).

I know that my application might seem a bit late but I just had to think this well before I decide to take this step - I'm the kind of person that either does something the right way or just doesn't do it at all.I know that my English might not be absolutely perfect but I certainly hope it won't be a problem.

I hope that my application will draw the needed attention.If you have questions I'll be more than glad to answer them :)

while there are viable US options I think I will vote for them. Why does mario not want to keep managing bulgaria u21?

The reason why I want to manage USA U21 is that I want to achieve something in the World Cup.With Bulgaria the main goal is to qualify for the World Cup but with the USA team my challenge will be to win a medal.It's a completely different experience and I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

And just think - what's better for the USA team?Is it better for the team to be managed by an experienced foreign user or by an inexperienced USA user?

Also here are my results in the WC qualification against USA U21 when I was managing Bulgaria:
First match: Bulgaria U21 - USA U21 4:1
Second match: USA U21 - Bulgaria U21 0:4

So, you're saying Fla is inexperienced?

Oh, no way, you just didn't get me right.Every manager that's been in the game for so long deserves my respect.
The previous user said that it's better to choose an USA user instead of any foreign user and what I meant was that if the foreign manager is good enough the nationality shouldn't be a reason to ignore him.

i think we will have to disagree, in my view people from the US who want to do the job should be preferred over people not from the US. We had Phil do the full team for a few years and he was great, got us to the world cup final, but I was happy when a US guy got to replace him.

as for wanting to do well in the world cup, that I can understand, but then why the US? We are 30th or so in the rankings. Maybe you should try and convince the poles or the English to take a chance on you?

The reason I chose the USA is that I speak some English and it will be easier to discuss the matches with the other USA users.The reason why I chose USA instead of England is because I believe people here are warmer to foreigners (at least that's what I've discovered from my visit to the USA a couple of years ago) and I hoped that my application will be taken seriously (and I'm really glad to see that it provoked this discussion).

When I was manager of Bulgaria U21 I used to open a topic before every match to share my opinion about what tactic, squad, etc. to use and then if anybody disagreed with my view we discussed it.That way every time the users were happy that they've helped and also Bulgaria's NT team benefited from that.I plan to do the same now if I get elected and as there are so many good managers here I am sure that with their help the team can go very far.

just so you know......we currently have a private U21 forum where interested managers can discuss the players and tactics.

I supposed that but still good to know it for sure, thanks for the info.

Based on his experience, 1 yr with the U21, he is LESS experienced than Mario.

Mario also beat the US U21, twice.


If you guys want to make this a popularity contest, then fine, let's call a spade a spade and move on, but clearly Mario is more qualified based on experience and results.
