Phil was the best mgr the US has had.... you recognize him ... but your love for have a US user to manage the US team gets in the way of sound judgement. Get past that and look for the user who has the experience and passion to do the job.

For the rest, stop making it a popularity contest and the US might get results again like we had under Phil.

i just think that US users should have first refusal on doing the U21 job if they want to, whats wrong with that? Lets face it, it doesnt matter in any material sense to us how the US U21 team does. In fact, about 10 guys who play sokker will feel marginally better when their players play in the games and the team does well (me included hopefully). To me it should be someone from the pot of guys who have a longstanding interest who should do it......oh god, I'm talking myself into voting for Fla!

Actually it does, if a guy can get results with the talent pool at that level, then they should be able to do well at the senior level.

We should be using this position to groom or search for our next senior manager.

If you don't give someone a chance you can never be sure what he's capable of.And I can guarantee you that I'm very motivated to do this job - I have to prove my name here so I'll have to work twice as hard than any USA user.

Also part of my plans if I win the elections is buying 2 of the best USA 21yo strikers.This way I can experiment with them in my own team and use what I've learned in the national team.I've had 7 Bulgarian U21 NT strikers in the last 3-4 seasons and using that strategy has proved to be very useful.I hope that will prove my serious intentions.

good strikers are key at this level i think. If the coach can make sure that some guys get developed that's a good thing

This is probably the key right here for me. You are completely right with that statement..

I turned up to run for an NT race two seasons ago and was within a few votes of beating Fla out for the U21 job then. Despite the fact that I have never been out of B-League and in general being relatively unknown.

Also, you'll definitely get my vote if you play Ken Bishop.

I definitely will.I usually read this forum but just feel uncomfortable to take part in the discussions.Anyway I'll follow the team's performance in the qualifications and hope for a good performance by the USA U21 lads.
