robfol [del] to All
Darius Sabo good 1
Jed Parke good 5
Jon Crittenden good 6
Claude Marley solid 8
Len Rhyne solid 21
Frederick Owsley adequate 25
Willy Bonseu adequate 26

these are my juniors, my junior coach coach is incredible.
my question i guess is is it worth keeping these guys?
2006-05-22 21:54:30
Darius, Jed, and Jon will more than likely be worth pretty much 0$ unless they come out as keepers. Claude will likely be worth a few dollars.

But Len, Frederick, and Willy have promise. Do you have any indication as to how talented they are? If they are going up a level on average of 4-5 weeks then they will be nice players when they come out.

What is it, exactly, that i'm doing wrong?

It's not like my youth squad hasn't had enough time to grow!!!!!!
2006-05-23 01:55:16
x3widRacin,

That is a pretty sad looking squad considering your club is not a new one. Mine is heading that direction as well though.

dang barndog. I was going to count them but I lost count.....

:(

I once had 25-30 juniors too. None of them were studly but most were able to at least sell for something.

And that's what i'm left with. Rarely do i get 5 new players in a week and when i do, 4 are unsatisfactory or worse and the other is adequate. If he's an dequate many weeks away i keep him, and if he's an adequate under 10 weeks i sack all 5. Only by keeping the rare adequate do i have any players left now, as 95% of the players my youth generates are valuated tragic or unsatisfactory

Seems like you're being too picky... I keep weaks and averages with over 20 weeks to go for example, I keep adequates if they have more than 10 weeks to go, I even keep unsat/poor when they have 25 or more weeks to go. Check out their talent, if they don't pop every 4 or 5 weeks they're out. If they do they could develop into solid/very good juniors and you'll know for sure they'll have good talent.

Especially when training pace such juniors can be very valuable. I've sold solid juniors for 150 to 200k euros after training them 1 season in pace in which they random popped a couple of times as well.

Another example, I've got a player who started as weak 31 and who'll develop into an excellent+80%. Juniors like that are definitely worth investing 50k in I think...

not when they don't sell for 50k

I don't get weaks. I get tragics

They're worth the gamble I think. Besides, the more juniors you keep, the lower the trainer costs per junior are.

If you only get tragics you must be the unluckiest man in Sokker...

Ask KYSuperCats if he thinks juniors are bad, lol.
2006-05-24 21:27:55
:)

I certainly think that they are. Four of my former juniors are currently on the USA NT (Swinehart, Cullen, Warren, and Beasley). I invested in the youth squad early because this game had very little USA talent and I encouraged other users to do the same about three seasons ago.
