:)

I certainly think that they are. Four of my former juniors are currently on the USA NT (Swinehart, Cullen, Warren, and Beasley). I invested in the youth squad early because this game had very little USA talent and I encouraged other users to do the same about three seasons ago.

I get about 1 borderline keeper a month. Last week I got one, he was the first player i've pulled this month worth keeping

Jim Storey adequate 12 reject

That doesn't have anything to do with it when the players deserve to be on the team.

it was a joke dude... but seriously about cullen.. he doesnt seem too good is there really that little US defender talent out there that he is the best back up we have?

Passing affects defender's ratings heavily. He's better than other defenders, it just doesn't reflect because of that one skill. USA doesn't exactly have a high number of defender trainers, either.

yeah tell me about it... i got sick of my defenders getting the ball and then just giving it away... i am cross training them in passing/ playmaking right now

its a shame there aren't that many defender trainers... there are too many people that train striker and not enough to counter that

Well from my three I had drafted today, I only get to keep three of them!

Eddy was a 20 yr old excellent keeper with excellent pace. Then Sanneh and Bolton were both 17 defensive trainees with adaquate pace on both. Look for them all in my next league match.

IMHO there's no valid reason you should be keeping good youth players who are in keeper and in outfield.

If you're training keeper, sell the defenders, if you're training defenders sell the keeper.

....
....I don't.... really see how there could posttible be anything wrong with him keeping a 20 year old excellent keeper is a bad thing when we've got 19 & 20 year old divine levelled keepers.......

....

..........

:D.

If he needs an excellent keeper with excellent pace for his club, why wouldnt he keep him ?
2006-05-26 02:38:04
My thoughts exactly.. USA doesnt need another keeper so why sell him if he is better than my current keeper?
2006-05-26 17:07:37
Honestly, when i posted that i kinda forgot that a 20 year old exc isn't that great a pull.

My thought was that if you have a goooood youth, if you're not training him someone else will and will pay more than you'd have to pay for an older player with the same or slightly better skills. So you could have sold, bought a similar, and made some.

I don't only get tragics. I get Tragics and unsatisfactories.

I have 7 players in my junior school and 12 places. therefore 5 open spaces at tonights update for new players.

As is the case every week, here are the two players i received.

Delmer Stokes unsatisfactory 27 reject
Ashton Goodrich tragic 30 reject

Sorry, i'm not keeping a 30 week tragic. and this is actually one of the better pulls i've gotten. Usually they are 10 or 12 week tragics.
