Someone tell me again why it is worth it to have NT players. I just lost my best mid for 20 days because of an NT injury.
BS.
BS.
i've had 4 different NT injuries this year already. its unsettling to look at you roster and notice someone hurt, and realize where it came from and... the price you pay for extra training opportunities...

do what i do and just report your players skills as 2-3 less than what they really are
with the exception of us players of course

Another example of developers screwing up the gameplay by trying to be too realistic.
There should be no injuries in NT games or friendlies in my opinion. They don't add anything to the game but frustration. But try raising the point in the bugs/ideas forum and watch how quick the idea gets shouted down as "ridiculous".

The alternative would be to have a REAL benefit from being on the NT. In Hockeyarena, NT players get extra training AND extra experience (which is very valuable there).
I would say the negatives outweigh benefits with NT players. Although I think U21 players the extra training gained is worthwhile them being in U21 internationals.
I'm not responding to requests about NT players any more. I've got a reasonable chance at winning Div I this season. If I lose because of an NT injury, I'm going to be really frustrated.
I didn't know there was a training benefit, how much is it? one of my friends said that more fans would come to your games if you had a nt player, I thought that was it.

It is minimal, but more than not, and it helps in the "experience" areas I believe. Also, IIRC Dagwood said players on NT squads tend to recover from injuries faster, but I am not sure how or why that uis.
if i remember corretly the extra training is about 33%, but only if the player play in the same position that you train (def, mid, att, gk). So basically if he play 90 minutes in each NT game and your team game, he will receive 100% training. If he only play your league game training is slight less.
i remember something about attendance if you have a NT team player in the team, it might be in one of the early news about NT teams.

The rules say he gets 50% training if he plays in a NT game only, but also that if he plays in 2 games a week the increase is very small.
I don't know if it's worth it, doesn't sound like it when the risk of a 3 week injury is very real.
and that just sucks all around, no reason to be punishing people for wanting to participate in nt play. no wonder it's so hard to get updates half the time.

That is meant to be the case, but having had many NT players, I'm not particularly convinced it is true.

Also correct, although it doesn't matter if you have 1 or 10 NT players it is the same benefit. Again, another hard thing to actually see to decide if worthwhile.

I have decided. It is no more worthwhile than the national Cup. I'm not offering information on any more NT players.
from my own experience, the added training benefits has been minimal. That being said, I don't mind letting any NT use my player because I remember how annoying it was to have to scout for awesome players and CLEARLY have the managers lie about their skills.
Oh he pulled an 87 rating the other day? Sure he's brill/incred/brill. That makes sense.
