Can a player be in such bad form that he doesn't play? Because I had a player in the lineup on Sunday that was subbed out immediately, even though I put him in the lineup.

I've never heard of form affecting subs.

I also don't see any subs in your game in the first minutes... ?

That's what's weird about it. However, I just copied my lineup from the previous week, so James Young should have been the left winger. And Stanislaw Osial is the midfield sub.

Hate to ask...but was that player red carded before the match?

Young got a yellow card the previous week. So if he had 2 yellow cards going into that week that'd make 3 yellow cards, which makes a red, and he coudn't play the following week.

That's how cards work in soccer/football.
