Subject: Mentors / Promote USA

2006-07-07 20:28:08
Lakay, I would think that a mentee could have more than one mentor. So like if you were mentoring somebody but you werent online and the mentee saw me on, he could ask me....and vice versa. So if somebody posted on here and said they want a mentor you could drop them an sk-mail regardless of who they had been "assigned" to. Just my thoughts.

But yeah we could have an order of assignment.

so can i be a mentor yes or no???
2006-07-07 21:30:52
That sounds good, it would be nice for the mentee to get different perspective on some subjects, if they want it. The request needs to come from the mentee though.

The order would help streamline the process, we'll always know, who's being mentored and who's currently mentoring. It's up to Guacamole, he started this mentoring program, he should take the lead.

you are right, no need to scare the mentees off by bombarding them :)

How bout this...tag your it!

I followed up with vodoncha directly.

Btw, whether you're a mentor or not, you can certainly help out on threads (newbie forum, questions in this forum or thread, etc)

I'm gonna mentor Islander1, he's a guy i know from HockeyArena.
2006-07-08 04:29:48
Islander1 is here? GOOD ... just hope gm666 doesn't follow him!
2006-07-08 04:35:28
lol. i am always amazed at him and gm666 and how they seem to folow every league forum. Then again, i do that here too. Hmmmm.
2006-07-08 14:32:49
My MOD job would be very easy if gm666 wasn't so 'testy'. He pushes the limit on most of his posts ... and tries to "stir the pot" all the time.
Shhhhhhhhhhhh
Don't tell him about sokker.
2006-07-08 16:37:24
GM666 was obnoxious to me in my first week there. I'd love to have him here so I could kick his ass and give him bad advice.... "Hey, GM666, training keeper with 20 year old rookies with no talent is a GOOD strategy here!"
2006-07-12 21:11:01
Man I can't even get away from the Islander/GM666 lovefest here.
2006-07-13 02:49:15
What is amazing to me is the total lack of ANY comments by gm666 in ANY forum for the past few days. And he is NOT banned. He has logged in to HA .. but just has been silent. Maybe he got religion?
2006-07-13 03:15:00
Nope. Check out the press releases in I.1 league. Thats where GM666 is posting nowadays...much to the delight of the civilized world.

And yes, life is a lot easier with him in self-imposed exile.

Besides, Guacamole is getting HA tutoring from me so it's probably going to be a win/win situation.

Oh, and I suggested this site to Griminald. It's his fault I'm even in HA :)

I'm glad to see all of you here in sokker. For a while, I thought that only some of my HT friends [mostly from NKOTB Fed] were sokker players ... now I see many HA guys, too.

Shows that we're all nuts.
2006-07-13 03:58:49
well I signed up for a HT team also, but logged in, so how horrid it was, and decided one soccer sim is more then enough.

Besides, Guacamole insists this game is a bit more complex to learn and manage then Hat Trick.

Plus, the C league team I got wasn't THAT bad.
2006-07-13 04:16:08
i have a team in both games, but i spend more time in HT than SK and i like both games because somehow they are different.
I tried already few more Soccer management games but they are to similar to HT, so i quit them. ^_^
