Subject: Sponsor Income

Is it unusual for Sponsor Income to decrease from the previous week's amount?

I have won 8 games in a row, and my supporters are madly in love with me.

Just curious if this a normal behaviour late in the season.

you've lost a couple friendlies... they contribute to your supporter/sponsor happyness too

no way, frienlies can't have such a strong effect. A league Sponsor revenue cap is the most logical answer.

it might be the friendlies. i hate how friendlies have an influence

I dont think friendlies have anything to do with it. I'm in such a bad series and have had a lot of luck in friendlies I cant remember the last time I lost (not bragging or anything as I know my team is bad) but I twice have had a decrease in supporter money.

Must be a league based sponsor revenue cap to force teams to promote.

I think there is a range in 'Madly in love'. After you beat a team 9-0 your sponsor mood is at the high end of that range, and when you win 2-0 their mood may drop a bit but is still in the Madly in love range.

You really do need to run up the score against the bad teams to keep getting max new sponsors and max sponsor income.

Yes, this is true about running up the score. I even think that allowing even one goal takes away from my new supporters total.

I think that's right on the money. How much fans you already have should be the primary factor. My fan club hasn't stopped augmenting at a steady rate.

It can't just be running up the score...the past 5 games I've gotten at least 4 goals and the sponsor money has increased by around $400 each time. I got more of an increase earlier in the season when I was winning close matches.

I think in the rules it says something about being linked to your league prestige and who you play, but I don't know if all leagues in Division C are rated the same (is it general division or specific league...so the more bots in your league, the less impressed the sponsors are).

Hopefully my 9-0 win this week gets the sponsors to shell out some money, because it sure didn't boost my supporters as much as the 4-0 win did last week.
