you still must win Qualifier, right? I do not think there is auto promotion to the Major League.

Then I shall play next season with "take no prisoners" mentality.

I *might* be in habib's position if I had not forgotten to set my league match orders a couple of times !!

I figure when USA users get down to 10 or so I can make Major League lol
2020-01-16 07:39:04
If you can not make when only 10 users.....

thing is- YEARS ago, maybe 7 years ago, I had 2 players on the NT team and 3 on the U21 team.

I have not had a player on the NT team in 5-6 seasons, and my 28 Striker was the last player I had ont he U21 team. He is now 28 going on 29. so that is almost 8 seasons with a bunch of crappy youth team picks. I just do not understand it. Seven years ago there were 100 or so active USA managers, and on the Youth Squads the JuniorML, A-League, and B-League was filled up, and there was 6 or so in the C League. so roughly 30 youth squad teams.
NOW, I count only 17 YS teams. Half the number of YS players and I can not train a U-21 player , neither a NT player.
Can not figure it out.

The worst thing is that out of the 20 newest users, only 3 log in regularly. I think 17 of them will never log into the sokker again.

How do you think to encourage other users to sokker? Maybe you have friends who are interested in football and would like to work as a virtual manager of a football club.

I hope the US sokker doesn't die.

I'd be surprised if it hadn't been on life support for years.

A large group of my friends joined this game with me around the same time - 10-12 years ago. We came from Hockey Arena and Footstar.
We all eventually left for the same reasons:

- not enough action
- stupid injuries (this actually seems WORSE now, because of 2 games/week -> devs should have halved the existing injury lengths)

I mean imagine paying major money for GREAT trainees only to see them miss 20-30 days to injury every season?

- match orders (substitutions) haven't changed in a decade. Still fundamentally flawed. having to make 2,3,4 substitutions for the same player in a half based on situation (think adding an extra attacker when down 1 late) is dopey.

Also, I came here out of blind curiosity. There's no advertisement that led me here.

edit: Also, the very nature of this game makes it difficult to start. Hell, I'm not totally sure I will be here in 6 months. Breaking into a league structure that is small like this sucks. If I promote, I'll get battered. Where's the fun in that when you're just starting out?

I am here because of game engine. Playing other online games as well but only here i can see live games

Fortunately the new reform for 2 weekly league matches makes opening a youth academy much more affordable due to consistent ticket revenue. That alone should make it easier for newer players to stay engaged although they will still have to be active for >1.5 seasons. Not ideal, but at least winning against dead teams in the B-tier might make new users stick around.

I disagree, I'm barely breaking even financially now, and that's with taking nothing but away friendlies.

I'm not even THINKING about opening up a junior school for 2-3 seasons. I can't afford the residual expense.
